I am a 54-year-old grandma and I had never heard of this or used anything like this before in my life. I got hit with a bad bacterial sinus infection this last couple of weeks after being in dust and dog dander while moving our son and his new little family to a new house, that is trying hard to do me in before I found this sinus wash system. I kept reading up on this sinus washing concept and was very skeptical of how putting distilled salt water up your nose could possibly help or not hurt without drowning myself.This bottle design was completely alien to me and have never done anything like this before in my life was just frightening. The very first time it was clumsy and cumbersome and kind of put a damper on trying it again because I squeezed the bottle while blowing, which is what I did wrong. You don't squeeze. Just blow into it.The second time I used it, I did it the right way with only blowing in the mouth tube and not squeezing the bottle at the same time and the results were amazing. It is SO very easy to use and SO comfortable that I actually look forward to using it when I first wake up trying to clear up this bacterial infection that won't let me go.It has done wonders for me, using this once a day to some days twice a day and it really does get the garbage out of your sinuses better than I ever dreamed anything could ever do.You are in total control the entire time with how much you blow into the mouth tube with the other tube in the nostril opening. This bottle design, since using it, I have never gotten any of the salt water or garbage in my throat. Everything goes out the nose and only the nose.I am a new user to the entire concept of using the saline nasal wash thing and I have to say this bottle design is incredible, very smart and very safe to use. Especially for folks like me that are first time users and scared to try it out.This bottle and the saline packets are so easy to use that I wish now that I had discovered this back when I was in the hospital with pneumonia from sinus infection troubles many years before.This REALLY WORKS and works very well.To new users to the concept of the whole thing, this bottle design is fabulous to learn with and get started with. Very easy and you control the flow with how much you blow in the mouthpiece. I absolutely recommend this bottle design and doing these saline washes. They really do help more than you can imagine and there is no burning, no pain and is actually very comfortable.As a brand new user, myself, I am thrilled that I tried this and love how clean it leaves my sinuses now, even while I am fighting off a bacterial sinus infection. I would give 10 stars if they would let me. It really does work and helps more than you know. Thanks.UPDATE: I have been using this bottle and saline wash for an entire week now. I have improved, health-wise, by 1000 fold. When I got up this morning, after blowing to clear my sinuses and able to breathe through my nose, I did this saline wash anyway, thinking everything was out. I was totally shocked by how much was still there, even when I thought I had cleared it all by blowing.These saline washes and this bottle has literally saved me from being in the hospital with double pneumonia. I cannot get over how MUCH this has helped me to get better from a very bad bacterial sinus infection. None of the antibiotics or super shot the doctor gave me a week ago made me feel better as I am feeling today from just doing these sinus washes.This bottle and saline washes are literal lifesavers and if you get sick, you MUST learn to do this. I cannot say enough how much it really does work and helps you get better faster.I am sending a standing ovation to the doctor that designed this bottle. This is an absolutely incredible difference in getting well for me. Thank you!

This product does what it says, but what it doesn’t specify is that you will feel a very uncomfortable during the process until 5 to 10 minutes later.No matter if you blow slowly and with you head in a good position, it feel very incommodious and cause me a little pain in the upper back of my head that scare me a little.In the positive side, the blow mechanism don't let the water go down thru you throat. But is a little tricky because you can’t stop until air start to go out thru the other side of your nose, or the water will go down thru your throat if you stop blowing before the water is finished.When i start to feel a little pain in the back of my head, I try to do it at slow as possible the next time, but the feeling of a little pain in the upper back of my head is present no matter how slow you do it, I start to feel it when half of the water remains in the bottle to finish.The feeling of uncongested nostrils are not as big as I expected, and I can’t do it more than one time (bottle) in a row because the little pain in the upper back of my head continue for a couple of minutes and then you need 5 to 10 minutes start feeling better and recover from the bad sensation.I gave a 3 of 5 for the uncongested nostrils effect. (Note that this is for a partially congested nostril). They don’t recommend doing it when you have a complete congested nostril.Maybe I up my expectations a little too high for this product.Conclusion: It does what it says that do, the blowing mechanism is good but tricky and the sensation is more uncomfortable that I expected. The little pain in the upper pack of my head scares me a tittle and the result are 3 out of 5. All of this, plus the high price for a plastic bottle with a blower. Do not deserve more than 3 stars.

The media could not be loaded.  We bought this item for my son a while back, and we just bought a second one for him to take on sleepovers, etc. This product has been a lifesaver for him and us. He could not breathe out of either nostril, which also meant he couldn't taste anything. This had been going on for years.Several years ago, we took him to an asthma and allergy specialist, who did a scan of his head and showed almost 100% blockage of his sinuses and nasal passages. He talked to us about surgery, but it didn't make sense because he is still growing and the Dr. decided to wait until he was done growing. Of course, we did not want to do this either given his age and the very invasive nature of the procedure.He was put on custom (very expensive) allergy drops, which we made him take twice a day. That was frustrating to stay on top of and after a full year we saw no results. We tried many other nasal lavage systems, but they made him gag and were cumbersome to use. So much so, that we couldn't get him to use them consistently so we saw no benefit.We saw this Res-Q-Rinse product and decided to give it a try. We were desperate since our son couldn't breathe at all through his nose and was not really eating well since he had no real sense of taste. It took a few days of using this product consistently, but all I can say is WOW! As you can see in the video, he has full flow through both nostrils! There is absolutely no gag reflex triggered with the simple design of the product and it's incredibly easy to use. He doesn't use it every day consistently...teenagers...but even so, he can always breathe through his nose and he has gained considerable weight since he actually enjoys eating now.I buy a lot on Amazon, and I never review products, but if you have someone in your family that is in the same situation, I believe this will give them the relief they are desperately needing!
