This book is very informative and researched well. I love how she uses the experts to come in and help with certain situations. It was pretty obvious that the police are a pretty suspicious nature, and not very cooperative in her books. But usually in the end they do come around. Overall it is an enjoyable read! 😁

I am sorry to have come to the end of this excellent series. Ms. Hansen is a talented and believable writer. Emma and Travis like all the main characters in the series are likeable and relatable. Interesting premise to have Emma dealing with stress induced amnesia. The times Emma, under sedation, recalls the horrific events she has forgotten are realistic. She has been through a lot. Although, Emma fears otherwise, the person she truly is never changed during the years she was away from Serenity. The bad guys are super creepy. My skin even crawled at times. Travis proves himself to be a loyal friend even after Emma declines his offer of marriage to run off to Memphis to attempt to become famous. When Emma reappears after 6 years with no memory of those years, Travis' feelings are mixed but still does all he can to protect her. In the end true and lasting love prevails! Although, this book as with the others in The Defenders, can been read as a " stand alone" book, I recommend reading all of them, and in order! ENJOY!

Would have liked the print to be a little larger, but managed to read O.K.

Great story, extremely well written. Drew me in from the first sentence. The plot was fantastic and different from the usual novel.
