How do you tell when the battery needs replacing?

Mine started to beep that it needs to be changed in WSM3300 backup sump pump after 5 years and 5 months. It was possible to hush it down for 48 hours. I installed it on 7/15/2013.

What to do with the old battery? when buying new one in store i bring old one there for recycling. but when buying from amazon?

The local Interstate Batteries store will buy it back. I checked 2 weeks ago in Columbus and they would give me $10 for big batteries like this and $7 for typical car size batteries.

Looks like black magic on batteries. can i successfuly use 100ah agm batt. rather than 75agm batt. on esp25? have cooked 3 esp25 and 3 wet cell batt.

It is okay to use the 100ah battery. You shouldn't be cooking batteries unless the charger is overcharging or the DC pump is running all the time.

My battery came without terminal bolts. I tried a couple sizes from the auto store. None fit. Any idea what size the threads are.

I purchased the battery along with the Wayne backup sump pump. The sump pump (not the battery) came with all the required hardware. I don't know the terminal bolt size, however, I recommend you call Wayne at (800) 237-0987. They should be able to assist. Good luck.
