I now have a set from this manufactures that stretches and a set that is static. I feel as if the static wraps are a little better for heavier items while the elastic bands are better for more delicate items. The velco holds really well. GOOD FIND

And honestly, I would have preferred to have a few more storage straps than the stretchy straps but they're both fantastic products and I'm sure I'll find uses for all of them.The storage straps have a metal grommet for hanging. The underside of the back strap has loop fabric while the underside of the front strap has hook fabric. You wrap it around something, like a garden hose or a heavy duty extension cord. Sewn onto the end of the top strap is a nylon strap pull tab. These storage straps are very heavy duty. They've well made with excellent materials and strong stitching. They're great for hanging and organizing things that are often otherwise unruly.The stretchy straps are indeed stretchy but strong. Most of the strap is a terry-like loop fabric on the back of a stretchy material. One end of the strap has a plastic ring and the end of the strap has a patch of hook fabric. You loop the end back through the ring, fold it over and close it with the hook/loop magic. These straps are good for wrangling cords or things that are otherwise unruly; useful for storage & compactness.
