So, I am new to the notion that you should consume collagen (good quality) at all. After listening to hours of Dr. Axe and Thomas DeLauer on Youtube, I decided to give it a try. CodeAge seemed like a good quality product that contained the types recommended by these two guys, at half the price than their specific brand recommendations. As the title states, the quality is in the results as far as I'm concerned. In my first week - a mere five days into it - the ache and pain in my shoulders and knees are gone entirely. When I wake up in the morning, I am no longer have stiff and achy muscles. It's like I've reversed my age 20 years, physically. I am 50 years old this year and thought that aches and pains were going to be the "norm" for the rest of my life. I cannot understate how awesome I feel now. I've had no adverse reactions, the taste is nearly undiscernible and it dissolves effortlessly into water, or whatever drink you prefer. The last thing I'll say here, is absolutely unbelievable to me, and actually pissed me off a bit because of all of the so-called medical professionals that I've dealt with over the last 10 years of my life, trying to remedy what they've identified as both "psoriasis" and "eczema," depending on which doctor I talked to about the patches of dry, flaky, cracking, itchy, irritable skin patches that started to appear many years ago. The worst of these patches was in the palm of my right hand and between the forefinger and thumb joint where it would continually crack and bleed, especially when working with pliers or attempting to hand-sand something in the shop. Also at the tips of my pointer finger and middle finger, at the front edges of my fingernail, my skin would harden and split open like cracked soil in a desert. They would bleed and become so tender that I'd have to tape them up and avoid touching things with them. Now, I have been prescribed - no joke - over 30 types of hand creams, steroid creams, creams with every type of weird chemical infused into it, to fix my problem. I bought this mostly to help with joint pain, but was hoping I would see benefits in my nails and skin. All those boxes checked off. My knee injury doesn't bother me as much, my nails are so much stronger, and someone just complimented me on how nice my skin looks. The big surprise is what it's meant for my hair. I have 3 inches of new growth in the places where my hair hair kept falling out. I couldn't be happier! Even my doctor was shocked! The nurse in my doctor's office is now going to give it a try. I tried a few other brands (Neocell and Vital Proteins). This is by far the best of them. It has no discernable taste and blends well, with zero grittiness, and obvious results. The flavor is only noticeable if you mix it with plain water. It clumps a little but still mixes easily. I’ve noticed my knees and joints crackle much less now. I haven’t seen a difference in my skin or hair but I mainly bought it for joint support and I’ve noticed a difference.

I’m 63, and I wanted to try some collagen to “see” if claims to help plump skin were true. I’m so excited to report that within 3 weeks I noticed my hands had less visible wrinkles on the back. On a side note: you must mix it in warm water to dissolve. It says to mix in your favorite beverage but that is not true. I don’t drink coffee or tea so I put it in 40 second microwaved water. There is no taste or residue once it dissolves.

This is the only kind of multi-collagen powder I have tried. I am on my fourth jar, it takes two months for me to use a jar, so I've been on it for about 7 months. First the bad, it doesn't taste all that good. Not that I'd expect or want them to change that as I avoid sweeteners and artificial flavors, it's the fish in the formula that gives it an ever-so-slightly off taste. I use mostly bulk powders for my supplements so my mix doesn't taste all that great anyway, have to hold my nose to drink it down, but that fish funk is definitely noticeable. I wouldn't even try another brand though, the results from this have been miraculous. I started noticing something happening after about two weeks, hard to describe but I could feel my skin plumping a little and retaining moisture better. Then by two months, I could see a huge difference in my face, but only for a few days here and there, then it would go back to the way it had been before, so strange. But now, after about 7 months, the changes are more permanent. My skin is a lot tighter, with no sense of sagging (you know how you can feel gravity pulling on your face as you get older?), and it looks so smooth - pores and scars have filled in, like all the inflammation, which I didn't realize I had, is gone. I look at my friends who are my age and now I can definitely notice the inflammation in their skin - large pores, bad texture, and discoloration, kind of swollen. I am still seeing progress, I have no idea when or if that will end. Right now, the outer half of my face on both sides almost looks like it has been ironed, it is so smooth and the crow's feet at the sides of my eyes are gone unless I squint. There are still some small lines in the center of my face, under my eyes and around the mouth. I haven't yet seen improvement in the rest of the skin on my body, other than some smoothing in the decollete area. Anyway, how lucky that the results show up in the face first! I also have noticed a lot of improvement internally, like much better digestion and a more relaxed mindset. I wonder if my results would be even better or would have come more quickly if I had used more than one serving a day? I don't plan on trying that, though, too expensive and it's hard enough to get it down once a day. But I'm so glad I stuck it out, no supplement or miracle cream I have ever tried has done what this has done.

Clumpy and hard to get completely dissolved. Does eventually dissolve, no taste in my black coffee. I’ve used other collagen protein powders and this is the first one I’ve had trouble getting dissolved. It’s also very sticky. I am hoping to find a five collagen powder that’s easier to work with.

Have bought multiple times. When mixed in my morning latte it doesn't affect the taste much. No weird side effects. Researched alot of brands & it has a good reputation online but I honestly have no idea if collagen is doing anything for me. Just cross my fingers & keep taking it.
