It is an optical cable and high quality.
It works and does it's job well what more can I say? It made a big difference in surround sound and smart tv. Samsung makes crappy TVs. It wouldn't send sound right with Bluetooth or HDMI. So I decided to use Optical (TOSLINK) Cable. I moved and left old one in storage. This was a very good quality cable for the price. Just remove silocone/rubber caps from each end and plug in.

Ideal for my needs
I bought this because the cable that came with my Sony speaker bar was too short for my needs. This one is not only longer, but it's also much sturdier.

Strong clothbraid.
Worked perfectly in the living room. Long enough to run under the carpet around the room and the cloth braid is strong enough to withstand the occasional stepping on it.
