Terrible translation
This translation of the philosopher makes it sound like he was sexist and high brow, which is not at all true for this Stoic. I recommend Sharon Lebell's interpretation which is applicable to daily life right now. I only purchased this one because it was a hard cover. Definitely a mistake. I'm throwing it in the trash.
