Valvoline High Mileage with MaxLife Technology 10W-30 Synthetic Blend Motor Oil 5 Quart

Greta bought this oil, and it’s a great deal. It’s good quality oil and it ships fast. I bought three 1-gallon jugs for $20 and change, I think. It was a good deal, and it keeps my engine protected. I have plenty of oil for when I do oil changes around the house on different vehicles, and I also use it in my mower and other things. I haven’t had any issues using it in the past, so I recommend it. But everyone has their own opinions, so you should decide for yourself. But one thing’s for sure: this oil is a great deal for the price.

I use this (high mileage full syn 10/30) in my '03 Silverado with the 5.3. I have been doing so since I got the truck at 186K, currently at 232K and running PERFECTLY. I change it every 4K miles.

Because I review things all the time I had two customers put 6K miles on refreshed engines then return to me to pull down and check for any wear or issues. Results -- Zero wear in Bearing surfaces, Less than .0001 measured difference between cylinder bore when new and when checked and that is explained by simply seeing the hone marks polished from running. I strongly recommend this for any engine that uses this weight oil (careful of using it with VVT - variable valve timing or MDS - multi displacement systems...) But in pre-2006 engines it will shine! Good for adding to your synthetic or regular motor oil as long as it is the same weight.
