Buena barra protectora para que no se acerquen los mosquitos pero si hace mucho aire no está al 100 de protección También le di 4 porque los repuestos son algo caros

The Thermacell Patio Shield Mosquito Repellent E-Series Rechargeable Repeller has been a game-changer for my patio and garden (20' x 10') activities. Here’s why I highly recommend it for about a 10' x 10' area: Effectiveness: The effectiveness of the Thermacell Patio Shield is impressive. Within minutes of turning it on, I noticed a significant reduction in the number of mosquitoes around. It creates a 15-foot protection zone, which is perfect for small gatherings, BBQs, or just relaxing on the patio. The device uses a scent-free repellent, so you don't have to deal with any unpleasant smells while enjoying your outdoor space. Design and Portability: The design of the Thermacell Patio Shield is sleek and modern. It's compact and lightweight, making it easy to move around or take with you on trips. The device blends well with outdoor decor and doesn't take up much space. The rechargeable feature is a huge plus, eliminating the need for constant battery replacements and making it more environmentally friendly. Ease of Use: Operating the Thermacell Patio Shield is straightforward. Simply charge it, insert the repellent cartridge, and turn it on. The LED indicator lets you know when it’s operating and when it needs recharging. Each charge lasts up to 6 hours, providing plenty of time for most outdoor activities. So far it is actually getting the 6 hours. Recharging is also quick and easy. Safety and Environmental Impact: One of the standout features of this repeller is its safety and minimal environmental impact. Unlike traditional mosquito repellents that involve sprays or lotions with chemicals, the Thermacell uses a repellent that is safe and does not require direct application to the skin. This makes it a great option for families with young children and pets. The repellent is also DEET-free, which is better for the environment. Overall: The Thermacell Patio Shield Mosquito Repellent E-Series Rechargeable Repeller is an excellent investment for anyone looking to enjoy their outdoor space without the nuisance of mosquitoes. It is highly effective, easy to use, and environmentally friendly. The sleek design and portability make it a versatile solution for both home use and outdoor adventures. While it may be a bit pricier than other mosquito repellent options, the convenience and effectiveness make it well worth the cost.

I bought this after watching Steve Wallis using Thermacells on most of his youtube camping videos. I'm a mosquito magnet AND their bites give me huge itchy ugly welts. I hate them. The price is a bit of a barrier otherwise I probably would have tried this sooner. I don't camp much anymore and I wanted one I could use outside our house without having to buy butane so opted for this rechargeable model, and having one with a built-in light makes a lot of sense. The unit is a lot larger than I expected and it creates a nice soft glow when the light is turned on at night. It does repel mosquitoes, but not the other insects. I was hoping I could leave the nasty skin creams and sprays behind, but the Thermacell is only effective if there isn't any breeze. But when the air is still, it's nearly 100% effective: I don't get bit. I can see the mosquitoes near me but they don't land or bite. If the breeze picks up, the mosquitoes come in. If the breeze picks up some more, the breeze itself blows the mosquitoes away so the product wouldn't be necessary. So there is a fairly small window of effectiveness for this product, but in that window it is very effective. It is nice to know I can skip the mosquito repellent spray if I'm going to be out when the air is still. Having a built-in light, the unit doubles as a soft table lamp or emergency lighting. The light functions independently of the heater necessary for the repellent, so one can also use this "just as a light", and I find this feature more useful than I thought I would when I was shopping. My only complaint is that the unit isn't water resistant in any way, so I have to be super careful to remember to bring it in because we live in a rain forest. (Mosquitoes LOVE rain forests!) Even if it's under a covered area, sideways rain isn't unusual here so this has to be brought indoors every time when not in use. Turning the light on helps me remember that it's there and needs to be brought inside.

I've been using the Thermacell repeller this summer on a deck with an awning. It works. Water collects underneath the deck and becomes a breeding spot for mosquitoes so the repeller has been put to the test. I place the repeller on the floor of the deck. I found it tiresome to keep taking the gadget in and out of the house to recharge and disassemble it so I put it in a plastic box with some refills to keep on the deck. Instead of recharging the repeller inside, I plug it into my iPhone charger bank while I'm using it. The charger bank stays in the box, too. Easy. You do need to give the repeller time to warm up. (The top will feel warm.). I, also, have a small bottle of Sawyer's Picaridin Insect Repellent in my plastic box and which I can use until the Thermacell warms us, particularly at dawn/dusk when mosquitoes are most active. I, too, wish the refills were cheaper but it's better than contracting a mosquito-borne illness. They last a decent amount of time if you remove the refill from the Thermacell and cap it when not in use.
