Tangy, apple-y, with brown, caramel undertone. Like sweetened boiled cider.
I LOVE this. If you love Apple like I do, you’ll love it too. If you’re looking for something that tastes exactly like honey, then maybe not. Have you ever had boiled cider? The flavor of this is like if you took boiled cider and added sugar. It has a tangy apple flavor with a browned, almost caramelly undertone. It’s sweet, but far less sweet than honey. Since I love sweet, I end up using a lot more of this than I would honey in tea. I wish they sold this in a bigger thing. But straight out of the container onto my finger, the flavor is just so yummy. I’ve only used it for tea so far, but I think it would shine on top of anything. I think it would be amazing to use this for baklava!! 😍

OMG I can have “honey”!
I’m allergic to honey, but I wasn’t always. I have missed it so much and am so happy to have this. It’s delicious and smells, looks like and has the consistency of honey. The taste is slightly tangy compared to honey but it sure makes the best substitute

Wonderfully sweet and vegan friendly, but please remove the word honey
As a vegan, I chose not to eat honey, although I won't make it an issue if someone offers me something that has honey in it (so many items, and for no real reason). This is a very sweet and flavorful alternative, but it in no way tastes close to honey, so if it's the flavor your looking for, this is not for you. It is wonderful on toast and biscuits, not so much in tea. Tastes like a very sweet apple butter. I do like it, and as a sweetener I prefer it to agave. But reducing sugar use would be the ultimate goal no matter the source.

Yummy!
I really like the taste of this "honey". I tasted it before using it in my tea and it tastes like something I could eat on top of a slice of bread. No it does not taste like honey but it tastes perfect in my tea. I really missed the taste of honey and lemon in my tea since I adopted a plant-based lifestyle and this hits the spot. I don't miss the honey, this product is a nice blend of sweet and lemon, so for me, it's 2 in 1! I also notice, I use less of this product than I did when I used honey, a little goes a long way. The texture is also very similar to honey. I will definitely continue to but this bee free "honey".

Texture is good. Taste is mediocre.
The texture is just like honey and it even looks like honey. My only problem is the taste. It taste more like sour apple candy mixed with honey. Honey is sweet. Sour is the opposite of sweet. So adding a sour apple taste to this honey replacement is a huge deal breaker for me because I wont be able to replace it in anything. The product itself is good but I was hoping for a closer supplement to honey. So what I would help this listing is to either don't market it as a honey replacement or contact your supplier and try to see if you can get rid of the sour taste.

Tastes like sour apples
I wanted to like this so bad. I took the cap off, peeled the sticker and tasted it and... 😖. It says it's made from apples. Little bit more liquidy than bee honey, it comes out of the bottle quickly and have to be careful while eating. It is a lot darker than the bee honey I used to consume as well. Expensive too! The packaging is nice and the reviews are so mixed i finally took the plunge and bought it and wish I hadnt. Would have been nice to be able to get a smaller size. I wont be using this again. It is better if it is on something- i did english muffins, vegan butter and the honey. But still not good.

Yes! Vegan honey!!
It’s almost impossible to find vegan honey and this one has a nice flavor. I use it in tea and will never know the difference

Great vegan honey alternative
First of all, the bottle is MUCH bigger than I thought it would be. I was willing to pay $20 for this product regardless but once I saw the size I felt much happier about the value of my purchase. It will last a long time. The taste is good, definitely apple-y, maybe a little less like real honey than the "B Free Honee" product I used to buy (no longer available). Still, this is the best vegan honey substitute I have found that exists today. 1:1 substitution for real honey or agave in recipes. Tastes great by itself, on tea, granola, or on a spoonful of peanut butter!
