This is a beautiful, vintage pure silk stole made by quilting two pieces of vintage, printed pure silk sarees. This is a fully reversible silk scarf or stole as both sides have different printed sarees. Size = 20 inches x 80 inches (approximately) Care = dry clean (recommended) OR cold water, gentle hand wash in cold water . This will not bleed color or shrink if care instructions are followed. Colors: AS PER PICTURE Material: 100% Pure Silk. CONDITION = excellent, mint, unused condition. USAGE = Wear it with an evening dress as a wrap/shawl, frame it as an art work/tapestry, use it as a stunning bed runner or Table runner. This is a vintage item. Minor imperfections might exist and make each one unique. Interesting information: -Sujani kantha or straight kantha used for quilted or making scarves such as the ones in this listing are created using straight kantha stitches. It is relatively simple stitch but due to the number of stitches needed to impart longevity to vintage saree fabric quite time consuming to produce one scarf. However result is absolutely beautiful. -There are several sub-styles within Kantha form of embroidery. The most difficult, time consuming and complex are nakshi kantha motifs as in these highly intricate tribal, wildlife and mythological motifs are created using very small stitches.
