If you are looking for a compact scale that has multiply purposes, this is the one! While it's made from lot of plastic, its compact and measures correctly! I purchased it for three reasons- a) I was given a sour dough starter and you must weigh everything when feeding it and/or baking with it. Most recipes require measuring cups or spoons, but for sour dough starters, you measure grams. Anyone knows a handed down sour dough starter is extra special so you want to do it right! b) I have a luggage scale, but there are times when I'm packing and I want to weigh a small item to see how much of it will impact the 50 pound suit case weight limit. I would rather have a ball park before carefully nestling everything into it's place in the packing process, zipping up the bag only to lift it with the luggage scale and find that it is 8 pounds over! Quick check on my nifty little scale for small items and I can ballpark the max of 50 pounds much better now! c) ETSY! I have a shop and every time I've posted something to sell, it requires a trip to the post office to weigh the item in order to calculate the shipping cost, I now can now weigh my items at home and post my item online at etsy.com/shop/TLCBYGIGI so much quicker! This saves TIME for me. and time is something you can't buy more of!

Does the job, but I feel like at times it can be touchy with settings. Sometimes also feels like the weight of items were off

I love this handy food scale, tracks my weight of my food and functions well, I’m able to read it just fine, does take batteries, and worth my money.

Works for what I need it for

The scale works great. My daughter has gotten into baking and needed something to help with baking bread. The scale is simple to use and she’s loved it. It’s small and thin so it doesn’t take up a lot of space when put away. The price was also inexpensive and it arrived right in time. She has been enjoying the scale very much. She loves that it clears other items for you. Ex. She puts a bowl and clears the weight so that just the flour get measured next.

I use this little machine every day! I love to use it to measure my drinks, make my meat loaf and to even pair up my eggs to see which ones will be the perfect companions for frying in the morning.....
