I liked the warmth of this coat. The fit is great for me

I was very indecisive about ordering my original size or going up one size. I am 141 lbs & 6ft’1 I started off with a large in my cart. I typically can’t find coats or jackets that will cover my whole arm. The sleeves are normally inches shorter, so I always try to always size up for that specific reason. After reading the reviews and reading others comments about how the large was very lengthy I decided to stick with my original size and ITS A PERFECT FIT!The coat fits my lengthy arms PERFECTLY, it hugs body very WELL and it pulls down to my thighs! The hood is quite big tho but it works and will be a perfect fit when I wear my winter hat.The coat is thick and feels perfect for the weather I am having now. Although it hasn’t snowed yet, I do feel this would be a perfect coat for the winter.

Overall, I like the coat, but made a few changes on mine. Fur on the hood: The hood is permanent on the coat, but the fur can be removed from the hood. It is held in place by buttons and loops. However, the fur is only fastened at four points, which is not enough. While pulling the hood up over the head, your finger can "go through," and it feels like you're going through a hole. In addition to the original 4 points of attachment, I added 8 more ( two additional points between each original one). That meant adding 16 more buttons (8 points, fastened both front and back of fur) and 16 more loops. Fur appearance: It looked somewhat mangy when unpacked. I brushed it well and trimmed a few of the longer hairs, and it looked much better afterward. Size: I ordered a medium. The coat fits and is flattering to my 5'4" & approximately 128# frame. But this medium is more snug than my other winter puffer coat that is a small. I can usually wear either a small or a medium, but I would not be able to wear a small in this coat. Length: The coat is about an inch shorter than my other puffer coat, but still covers my back end well. Pockets: It has two outer pockets that are big enough for gloves and tissues. There are no inner pockets and no pockets that snap or zip shut. Warmth: The coat is cozy warm. I actually got a little too warm with the outside temperature at a mild 35°. It is warm enough for the whole winter in northern Indiana.

Wonderful coat! I'm 5'4 and am 157lbs, and i got a large. It fit with plenty of room for layers. I do not live in a snowy or even cold part of the country but i did need a wintet coat for a ski trip. It kept me so warm! Though i did not participate in skiing, i was more of the equipment manager for the family, i was standing still in the 9 degree weather. My legs were cold...and that's only because the coat covered from my butt up. I only wore a tank and sweater under the coat on this trip and stayed remarkably warm. It was long enough to cover my rear end for those times i just needed to sit on a frozen snow seat. Not once did the coat fail to keep me warm and dry, even when my 3 year old spilled an entire cup of water on me... this coat seemed to withstand some unexpected challenges. Note: remove the coat once indoors...you will sweat. The green color was exactly what it looked like in the picture and the faux fur trim was nice and fluffy upon arrival.

I am writing this review in hopes of getting a response from the vendor of this jacket as I am confused and upset of my recent purchase. I just recently rebought this jacket in a black color and a size xx-large and two years ago I bought one for myself of the same color but in a large size and it’s a size I have out grown however the jacket had served me well. So my confusion is why was I given a cheaply made jacket that I could but at burlington that was labled as the same jacket however compared to my purchase of two years ago the quality was worse as the material felt different and cheap, and the weight of it was lighter compared to the first. The material inside the jacket to buffer the cold was also not enough and did not seem equally distributed within the jacket. I was also not given the option to exchange for a better quality like the one I already have so I plan to repurchase under the same details and hope that this was just a mistake and then I’ll change my review or even if the vendor may please respond so I can understand why this is happening. Thank you.

The pros... this coat is VERY warm, like to wear when you go out to watch the Iditarod. The cons... first my bad, when I read the fur comes off, I thought the hood came off, It does not. The fur buttons on with little tiny buttons,, A pain to take it off. I like the big zipper, but the coat itself has so much fiber fill that you can hardly move in the coat. I am a size 14, and bought a XL because the reviews said the arms run small, the arms are so long that my hands are completely covered. If not for the ban around the arm, I would not be able to wear it, there is so much fiber fill I can't push the sleeves up. The collar does not lay down because the hood does not come off. and wearing a scarf around my neck is virtually impossible. I live in South Dakota and it's 5 degrees here today, and the coat is so warm I cannot have the heat on in my car. So if you are looking for a coat to wear at zero or a wind chill of below zero this might be your coat. I am going to keep the coat for those 3-4 days a year that we have at 20 below zero. However, this is not going to be an everyday coat as I had hoped when I ordered it. Hope this helps.

I was worried that the fur on the hood would come all matted down and skimpy but that was not the case. The fur is full and lush. The fur was not fully attached when it arrived,but once I buttoned all the buttons, it was very secure. This coat fits true to size for me and the shape is very female flattering. I saw some pics that others posted where the coat was all wrinkled in the front, but mine was not. It arrived in great shape, no rips in the seams.

After reading several reviews for many long winter coats I decided to go with with one The coat is very nice , long warm and waterproof . It is not a thick down filled coat but it is warm , the arms are plenty long . I'm an XXL 44D busy and it fits great with a little bit of wiggle room . The chocolate brown colour is as described very nice .I'm very pleased with this product .
