I had googled what would be an alternative to drinking wine as I simply drink too much of it and want to change that or reduce it at least. I came across this product and thought let me give it a try. I had no taste expectations, and I certainly went in knowing it wouldn't be the same as drinking wine. I wanted to see what it did for ME though. I put 2 full droppers in a mixture of cranberry juice, sparkling italian water and a squeeze of lime juice and I put it in my favorite wine glass. It's a very tasty and refreshing drink. I think the act of slowly drinking something during the evening is a placebo for me as well and really helped. There is no buzz or feeling like you are drinking wine but for me there is a relaxed feeling and gets me through those tough evening hours when I want to drink. What I will say is my sleep has been affected, for the good! I'm a tosser and turner and wake up a million times during the night and now on my 10th day of using this my sleep is very deep and I'm in a deep sleep for a number of hours and if I wake up I go right back to sleep. This has been a game changer for me and if I can be honest in my review, I needed something to stop the cycle of drinking a lot every night. So far last week and this week Monday-Friday I don't drink a drop of alchohol and then last weekend I drank my wine but even with that I have to drink far less because the first day I had gotten a horrible headache and that's no fun. So this has really helped curb that need to kind of go numb and since I don't want to do drugs of any kind, the wine seems to be what I've settled into. I'm hoping this will help someone else who struggles as I do, but for me I already bought the large size through their site this time, and the cost is not a factor because I'm saving a lot from not buying wine so it's just swapping it out. I'm very thankful and hopeful that I can be better all the way around by taking this product.

I purchased this item in hopes that it would deliver the perks promised in ads seen around the web. I wanted that calm "buzz" it claimed without any side effects. Well, it was right about no side effects because there aren't any effects at all. I was more irritated after using it more than anything. The amount you receive is insignificant for the amount of money you pay for it. You get no calm feeling. I had my husband try it and he felt nothing as well. I used a full dropped once daily until there was nothing left in the bottle. It lasted 9 days. At 13 days I went to wash the dropper to use it for a craft and found the dropper had mold growing in it. Disgusting. Overall, it had a decent flavor but was a waste of a lot of money and had no effect. If I could give no stars, I would.

The taste isn't super strong, very subtle actually. I did notice I slept soundly after trying this. This was my first Apothekary purchase. I did put it in a glass of water and I did two droppers full in each glass. I would purchase this again.

I love this! I am very into creating mocktails with actual botanical properties and I am a bad sleeper, so this is perfect for me! Only 1 star substracted because of the price for the small bottle, I'll probably run through this quickly with daily use. Just note that it has very little taste. So for this to be a wine alternative and still alcohol free, I personally mix it with Juice or I cook down actual wine until the alcohol is fully evaporated and then add extra water and this tincture. Phenomenal!

i had one full dropper a few nights in a row, and it didn't seem to make much of a difference. (but i have chronic sleep disturbances, so i don't think this is meant for me.) the flavor was nice though. kinda like an herbal floral fruity flavor mildly medicinal, like elderberry syrup. the herbal notes linger on the tongue if you take it straight. otherwise one ounce of water is plenty to dilute it and reduce that effect.

I dont really notice a difference. It doesn't really relax me, but it has helped me to stop drinking wine because it still makes me feel like I'm getting something special!

First off, I wasn’t expecting this to be so good. I bit the bullet and paid the $40 because I wanted to take a Dry January 30-day or more break, from multiple nightly glasses of wine, for the first time in years. I’ve been taking Blue Burn during the day once or twice daily to help with the loss of calories at night, and putting this Wine Down into sparkling mineral water, in a wineglass for the same handheld ritual, but alcohol-free, at night. The first time I took it I was very tired from lack of sleep and it was super powerfully effective. I’ve since then gotten to know it a bit more, playing around with how many dropperfuls (you can take up to 6 nightly, I usually take 4, 1-2 in each glass of sparkling water.) I just don’t feel a craving or need for wine (which is crazy for me), and it’s a powerful anti-anxiety herb blend to boot. I am definitely recommending this to all my friends whenever we take needed breaks from all our wine and wineries, lol. 5 stars and deep gratitude!!!

I purchased this particular product, Wine down, because I wanted to start making “mock tails”. It claims to have 30 servings in the small bottle. I was very excited to try making them when the item arrived. However; I tried the dropper about 10 times, 10 mock tails, but the bottle is now finished. So I don’t know if the bottle actually had less liquid than normal or not? I think the container needs to be larger in order to actually make 30 servings, which is NOT what my bottle came with. The liquid does what it says, like calming and is especially fun for the afternoons with a good movie or book, so you’re not drinking alcohol in the early afternoons but the price $$$ is very expensive given I was only able to eek out 10 servings. Unfortunately I will not be buying this product again.
