Yes I married a Canadian
Her flag hangs on a 16' flagpole and Old Glory hangs on a 20'. Her question to me was they hang the same height at the UN, why not at home? The answer I gave is painfully obvious. Flag has been up in some heavy winds and still looks great and BTW, she's very happy.
