I bought this for my father who needed a stick which was more stable even if it is not used perpendicular to the ground. This one is very good for that. This was the single most important thing that I bought it for.It also has some additional benefits, like it is foldable (My father has never tried this, because he needs the stick always and doesn't get an opportunity to fold it. Also he feels that if he keeps doing the folding and unfolding, it may become loose at the joints - so he is not taking the risk).It also has a light, he says that is very good - though he did not buy it for that.Like mentioned earlier, the stick is extremely stable even if not used straight, because of the swivel bottom portion and it has a broad bottom about 3 inches which is broad but unobtrusive (there are 3 legged and 4 legged varities but I was worried that my father may trip over those).There is a side benefit for this that it doesn't make the click-click noise that the other sticks has when it is being used.

Very good purchase at this price range. Good quality, material strength, appearence, not exactly premium but you won't regret buying. Tougher than it looks. Have fell down myltiple times in concrete from my hand, still the led is working. The folding elastic mechanism also maintained its quality after months of use. Lightweight, won't give you pain of carrying. Its own balance is nedium or so so.

I bought this for my aged mother who is 73 years old and height is 4feet 9. Although the height adjustment is actually suited for taller people. The company should consider that as people age their height decreases. The height adjustment can be improvised.
