This came in a very small box and I wondered how they got 36 in there. But they did, and it's nice it didn't take up too much space. They're in individual wrappings, so you're not having to rig something up or use plastic bags. They lasted about 10 minutes or so each as I tested 6 while testing out a camping stove for Electric Picnic. Apparently you can take solid fuel. These did a small kettle with two mugs of water and mostly cooked some scrambled egg (1). I tried 4 mugs at one time and it got it more than warm but not boiling, so 2 + something else is probably good per tab.

These burn pretty hot for quite a while. I bet I could boil at least a couple of kettles with one and the flame is fairly clean. They have a slightly fishy smell to them, so I'd store them in something air tight. They came in a plain cardboard box wrapped individually. All in all I'm pretty happy with them though.

These firelighters do exactly what the description says.They are small,but each of them give exactly 12 minutes of continuous fire in the camping stove. This is enough to boil some water or to reheat cooked food. They are easy to use, clean and, apart from a faint fishy smell, they do not make any smoke. They have been a revelation for me. I am happy to have found a solution to possible emergency situations at home.

These wax blocks are brilliant for camping and festivals. They light easily, burn hot, and stay lit long enough to get your fire or stove going properly. No fuss, no mess. I used them with a solid fuel stove and they were incredibly convenient. Would definitely buy again.

Don't waste your money, 8 blocks to boil water for coffee and cook instant noodles. Total waste of time

Got these to replace my hexamine tabs as you now need a license or something (there classed as a explosive element by the nanny state), pretty good to be honest, I used 2 10g tablets and boiled 400mm of water in 7mins in low wind conditions, I did place them on some baking foil to reflect more heat upwards mind. Didn't notice any fishy smell as some other reviews have stated.

I’m a long distance hiker and avid off grid camper, camping at least one week each month. I teach survival/bushcraft skills to groups often. I’ve usually only used the Esbit tabs and they’re great-but pricey and they usually burn 8-10 minutes max. Two weeks on the Appalachian trail would need over 100$ in fuel tabs for the Esbit brand. When I saw these I decided to try them as the reviews were good ( don’t worry about the smell ALL fuel tablets have that odor-it’s not noticeable outdoors) and I needed a lot to teach a young group how to cook on trail/off grid. Boy did they surprise me ! First of all they’re much bigger than the typical 14gram tabs and they burn well-if you block the wind they make a perfect flame (see photo). They burn hot!!! My chicken was boiling within 7/8 minutes and I didn’t need a second tablet to add the dumplings! Nice two servings of fresh chicken and dumplings in about 15 minutes! I love that they’re individually wrapped and the tear package is much easier to open than the foil/plastic molded ones. Some of mine were a bit broken so I put a little foil on the bottom of my folding stove (backpacking stove) so the pieces wouldn’t fall through the holes and they burned fine making one nice flame. I’m officially changing my preferred fuel tabs to this brand. If you’ve been using the little tabs and burning through them to make food, you’ll love these! Also-if you just need half to make water for a cup of tea or coffee they break in half fairly easily and the heat is the same but it shortens the burn time so you don’t waste them. Excellent product!!
