I bought the Skandia Raised toilet seat and frame for someone close to me, who is recovering from a major operation and needs lots of help and back up. The NHS did offer a frame and seat, which was greatly appreciated, but it was too large, looked incredibly 'medical' and was difficult to clean and manoeuvre.This product is excellent. It is extremely easy to assemble. All that has to be done is to choose the leg height that suits you and put in the splash guard. Re the leg height, there are strong and also easy to use clips that hold the legs in place. You could, if you so wish and there is to be long term use, remove your own toilet seat and place this over just the toilet bowl. I haven't done this, but simply left the seat up with the frame pushed against it.It looks fine, and is extremely easy to clean and maintain. Most importantly of all, the person who really needs it finds it a fantastic help.

Bought this for my 83 year old dad who has very limited mobility, the NHS one we got was useless so we got a frame from Amazon a couple of years ago, which was great for his needs then but 2 years later he needs a bit more help... this one sits above the loo it has a bowl type insert that is bottomless to stop any splashing which works a treat... this is not a commode it is specifically for your bathroom loo... no rusting easy to keep clean and very sturdy

Already have one of these issued tp me by NHS. Needed another for second toilet, choice easy as thos is an excellent product thats simple to use & keep clean.can be set to height needed very quickly and rest assured that the height is locked in place.Simple and very effective device that fits over majority of toilets.

This has proved very useful to two different elderly guests who get around using walking sticks and sometimes struggle to get up from the loo without help. Easy to adjust the legs to accommodate people of different heights, and also easy to clean.

After a death in the family, the issue raised toilet was removed, by the power that be. So got this as a replacement. It is so much better than the original. Sturdier, smaller, well made and enamel thicker. I don't understand why there is complaint about the gap, because there is an inset to fit inside the toilet. Brilliant adapter, at a good price.

Easy to clean, easy to move, and strong support.Had to add some blocks between seat and frame, otherwise very good.
