I was always disappointed with my clamp-on camera mount. When the terrain got rough, it always slipped downward or upward, or side to side. The friction clamps always failed to hold. This product is a little different.Product Quality: The mount, Allen wrench, knob wrench and lanyard are included.The mount itself is well constructed of aluminum. There are no visible plastic parts and that includes the knob. Even the knob wrench is aluminum and includes a lanyard so that you don't drop it in the weeds.Product Installation/Use: There are no instructions but installation is intuitive and straightforward. The camera (GoPro Hero8 Black) mounted with no problems and tightened securely without the included knob wrench. The tightening knob is a little small and the wrench can be used for a little extra torque if you're heading into rough terrain/singletrack. I would exercise some caution using it as one could apply sufficient pressure on the folding fingers to distort/crush/crack them.A nice feature is the rotation mechanism. I rotates 360 degrees through 24 different positions in 15 degree increments. There are detents that hold the rotation firmly in position rather than the friction of a clamp. Tilting is accomplished as with any other similar mount using the folding finger tightening knob to position vertical angle. And since the mount is not articulated, and remains level with the clamping surface, there's less editing after you ride.Due to a decent snow cover, I couldn't test this in the wild yet. But the mechanism should be a marked improvement over the clamp-on style I've been using on bike packing adventures.Final Thoughts: If you're using an accessory extender, you should invest in some shorter screws or you'll be snagging your riding gloves frequently. All in, I'd say this is a good purchase for those who want to chronicle their riding experience.

This mount is all metal made (aluminum) is looks solid, it feels solid and adds a professional look.While I use this mount for mountain bike, you can easily adapt to any pipe, handlebar, truck mirror stand as long is no more that 1 inch diameter.I called it semi-permanent because you need to adjust 2 Allen screws (the Allen wrench is included) to properly seat into position, while this an exhaustive strained activity, also this is not something that you want to do every-time you want to go to ride. Mostly a mount that will stay there just to receive your camera and fixing it with the GoPro screw.Once the mount is fixed into position, you can adjust by turning 360 degrees and receiving a click for every small adjust and combining it with the GoPro ears mount to adjust up and down.Well recommended for a semi-permanent mount that requires a firm and sturdy fix.

This review is for the HSU Aluminum GoPro Mount.This is a well machined mount, no burs or rough edges which indicates that they took care in machining this. It’s a standard GoPro Mount, meaning you can use it with any of the action cams that support this same mount type.For me this is attached to my bike trailer which does a wonderful job considering it’s a 360 degree mount, allowing me to be more creative on the placement on the trailer while still maintaining a decent horizon for the video.

I really despise the factory GoPro plastic roll bar mounts. I use my cameras in a racecar and the vibration tends to break the stock plastic mounts over time. This is a great replacement, made entirely of aluminum, feels stout and well made. I won't be worried about breaking a mount and losing my camera during a race with this thing.If you use your camera in a highly active environment with lots of vibration, I'd recommend getting one of these mounts and throwing the stock plastic one in the trash.
