The item itself is about 4 stars, I'm giving it a full 5 for the customer service. I had to contact customer service when the package didn't arrive when it was marked as delivered. The package was missing but the company responded same day and resolved the issue and got me a new table by the next day. The table itself is pretty solid, but the lifting mechanisms are pretty weak, will definitely need two hands to lift it up and down, and you don't want too much weight on it as you do so. It doesn't lift smoothly or evenly otherwise. I do wish that the table top could be reversible or installed to open in the opposite direction without drilling new holes. Or have barn doors opening on both the front and the back so it can look good aesthetically from either side that you see it from. Outside of these issues, the table as a whole is very sturdy, the space underneath the tabletop is great for storage. The instructions were very easy to follow, and putting it together was quick work, about 45 minutes to an hour altogether. One person can put the majority of it together by themselves, but two people would be preferable when installing the table top so it gets installed evenly. Overall it's a good piece, especially for its price point, looks like something you can buy off of the sales floor of a brick and mortar furniture store.

Our package was a total wreck when it got delivered, but we decided to opened it to see if any of the pieces were damaged. At a glance, none of them looked damaged. Half way through building the table we noticed one of the back panels was cracked. We decided to keep building it anyway. If that was the only thing that was damaged, then we would just deal with the small crack. Then we got to the side panels/legs. The first one went on great. Then there was the second one…The bolt screw and cam lock kept pulling out, as if the screws were not long enough to lock the cam bolt in. We Jerry-rigged the pieces to stay together and continued building the table. After all, we were almost finished building it and it would just be a pain to take it apart. Not to mention it’s very heavy, so returning it would be another pain. The other hardware seemed to hold the shoddy side panel/legs in place pretty well, but it was still a little wobbly. We finished building the table and I decided to contact the seller. I liked the table and we just spent over an hour putting it together, so I thought maybe they would replace the pieces. I’ve never had to contact a seller through Amazon, so it was a shot in the dark. Much to my surprise, they got back to me very promptly and said they would send me the new pieces! I received the pieces yesterday and have not had time to replaced them yet, but I was very pleased with the prompt response and customer service. There are just a few things I would like to see improved with this table. #1. As some of the other reviews mention, the barn doors do not glide very well. The design could be a little better, but they work fine. #2. The lift top opens towards the attractive part of the table. I would prefer it opened the opposite way, so that the pretty side would be showing for my guests to see (just a personal preference I guess). But the lift top opens just fine and it’s not flimsy like other reviews mention. Overall I’m very pleased with my purchase and the customer service! It’s exactly what I was looking for and now that I have the new pieces it’s perfect!

This product is awesome. I love the lift top and I use it everyday for my lap top and my snacks when watching TV, or reading. It took a few hours to assembled, the instructions were not too clear, but my husband and I figured it out.It's very heavy and serves its purpose. Lots of space , Love it

Beautiful coffee table with cheap Chinese cams. I easily broke 2 cams with little effort, tightening the legs to the structure itself. Yes, they send extra parts, but be extra careful tightening those cams! They are complete junk metal! As far as the glue for the dowels; you better make sure you have glue of your own. You're gonna need it! They barely sent enough glue for 6 dowels.

One of the holes in the leg that were made to attach to the side were not drilled correctly so when one side went on, it wouldn't go in the pre drilled holes. I contacted the seller requesting that a new part be sent, however, never heard back from them. Luckily my boyfriend knows how to wood work and was able to fill in the existing holes and drill new ones for me. I understand that these things happen, but I expect good quality customer service to assist with the problem. Once my boyfriend was able to fix the holes the company never reached back out about, the product was good.UPDATE: Seller got back to me after approximately 2 days and offered to ship the parts that needed to be replaced if they had them available and asked for a photo of what had gone wrong. Since we already had fixed the parts to work, they offered a $60 discount. Very happy that they were willing to work with me to resolve the issue that we came across.
