Essentials of Clinical Radiation Oncology: -: 9780826168542: Medicine & Health Science Books @ desertcart.com Review: Excellent practical resource - Excellent book, very well structured (each chapter starts with a brief overview of the treatment options by stage, and contains useful things like doses/brief field design overview/chemo doses). I like that the evidence portion of the chapters is subdivided into smaller topics by clinical questions (e.g. "And should we add chemo to that?" "What's the benefit of escalating?) Use it every day. Highly recommend and hope they go on to publish it regularly. Review: Good physical book, terrible ebook - Book is very good; clear with good discussion of underlying basis for treatment. Just an FYI: the associated ereader (NOVAreader) is awful. It cannot bookmark, highlight, add comments, or be used in splitscreen mode. Buy this book for the hard copy, the digital version is unusable. For iPad users, you may want to consider the iBooks version (allows highlighting and split screen, but no hard copy).

Great overview of important trials in radiation oncology
High yield discussion on important oncology trials, all pertinent to radiation oncology management. Brief editorials prior to trial discussion to put data in context. Bolded important topics and called-out general treatment recommendations based on stage of disease and data available. Excellent book for anyone in radiation oncology.

Best book in radiation oncology!
Great book, perfectly organized and full of high value information. Up to date, evidence based, and succinct. The tables are awesome and inclusion of the AJCC-8 staging is a major plus. Definitely the best book in rad onc!

Overall good!
Overall good resource. However, there are some reference numbers that don't exist or are associated with the wrong study.

This is an excellent book, concise yet clear. Each topic begins with a quick hit section outlining the essential treatment paradigm. briefly touching upon epidemiology, risk factors, anatomy, clinical presentation, work up, prognostic factors and staging. The Treatment Paradigms and Evidence Based Q&A are the USP of this book, covering the most important clinical questions and relevant studies, something that can be easily implemented by all clinicians in their daily practice. Kudos to the Cleveland Clinic team for bringing out what is probably the best clinical radiation oncology book currently available in the market. The only drawback is the Nova e reader for the e book which simply doesn't let you bookmark or highlight. The print version is what you should be looking to purchase.
