Q: Does this fit a 2011 bmw r1200rt? The description says full face helmet, but I think the actual product is the tank bag ring.

The tank lock ring fits my 2014 bmw r1200gsa

This part is a custom molded tank ring and the hardware to attach it to the BMW models listed in the description.

Q: Will this fit my 2005 r1200rt?

It fit my 2005 GS and fits my 2017 RT, so the answer is "probably" - can't be more specific, but BMW probably uses the same filler setup on all of its R bikes. In my experience, the only piece you need is the metal half-moon piece (top piece in the picture). Both of my GIVI bags came with the mounting piece (middle piece in the picture).
