Adjustable Flag Pole Bracket Heavy Duty Aluminum All Weather Flag Display Holder (White)

I bought this to replace a broken heavy duty plastic flag pole holder that came with my flag. Living in New England on the coast, it's not unusual for us to get 40-50 MPH winds on a real blustery day, with higher winds possible, though I do try to take the flag in when that's the case. I shopped around before I decided to purchase the Green Grove product. It arrived when promised and was everything I expected; heavy duty with good, long mounting screws. It is fully adjustable for whatever angle you may want, securely holds the pole in place, and has a drain hole in the bottom, so water won't collect inside. You can spend more, you can spend less; but I don't think you can do any better than this product.UPDATE: November 20, 2020 - Well, the bracket finally broke; but it was my own fault for not paying attention to the weather alert. We had decent 35+ MPH wind gusts last night and I hadn't taken my flag in. The bracket broke at its' thinnest part, where the actual pole holder meets the gear that adjusts the angle. I still recommend this bracket; but am thinking I'll go with a heavier duty one this time around, probably stainless steel, which will probably cost about 3 times as much as this one did.

Update:After being used for a while, the knob holding the flag in position kept coming loose so the gear pieces wouldn’t stay tight. It came loose 4 times and that was even after I had used pliers 2 times to tighten it. So, no, I would not recommend this product. One thing I cannot tolerate is the US Flag hitting the ground.It works well. Got it mounted, put the flag into this flag holder, nice and solid. Well built but doesn’t weigh a lot. I mounted mine to the engine access panel on my motor home. Holds very well. I would recommend this to anybody. Stay away of the plastic kind. They break in 40-50 mph winds. Plenty of room for your 1” flag pole

Wish it came with a paper silhouette to drill the holes, so I had to make one. Not too expensive to include in my opinion. Now, for the product itself, it does seem well made, the holes were a little to close to the edge and not big enough for wiggle room so you MUST drill precisely or you will be in big trouble. So that could be improved. Another thing I noticed is the gear teeth are long and pretty pointy so I hope that doesn't cause them to break. Set it up today, attached it to wood, had decent wind and held together well. I used a wooden dowel 6' L x.75" W and no problem either. Verdict: I would recommend it! Durability: To be determined. PS. I also got an email from the seller after the purchase as a follow up to make sure everything was good with the product, so that is a plus.

As I cautioned buyers of American Flag Heavy Duty Premium Commercial Grade 2 ply PolyMax Polyester:Indestructible so far, despite sticker bushes below and gutter corner angle above.I believe you must get a heavy-duty flag pole bracket to attach to your house or commercial bldg, not one of the multi-position brackets. The multi-position thumbscrew-selectable bracket lets you change the angle, but also adds a point of failure. I've been through two of these Green Grove aluminum brackets in a few months, just so I wouldn't have to keep drilling four more holes. This 3x5 indestructible flag has been a wonderful replacement for light-duty flags, but with its weight, I believe it will continue to tear up anything flimsy when it's wet and windy.I've had no problem with American Signature Flag Pole 5 ft - Heavy Duty Aluminum Tangle Free Spinning Flagpole with Carabiners with either of my flags.And no problem with Evergreen Flag Cast Iron 2 Position Wall (not thumbscrew-selectable position!) Mount House and Estate Flag Pole Bracket (three holes to drill). However, that cast iron bracket does not hold a flag this heavy, because USA Flags does not make a commercial-duty Thin Blue Line flag. (In Amazon Answered Questions -- not in Reviews/Ratings -- they explain why they only do American, not Blue/Red line, Marine, nor Texas or Confederate. If they did, I'd have several!)

Installed as a replacement for an older plastic mount to hold a US flag on a 6' pole. Worked OK for about a month, then the first strong winds of the spring hit, and the mount broke at the base. I threw it in the trash and purchased an all steel replacement. Nice if you never intend to put a flag on it or have it outside. If you plan to do either, find another option,

Great for installing a flag at odd angles, easily reachable with both feet planted firmly in the ground. Rock solid mount. Note: I bent a bike hook to use as additional support just under the eve. (Screw the bike hook in thru a stud, take it out, bend it and reinstall it.) With a 1" to 1-1/4" pole and the additional support, this configuration should withstand some incredibly strong winds without buckling or bending.Very happy with how this project turned out.

There are two sets of knobs to tighten flag position....the first onr broke but I was able to get a nut that woukd hold it. The second one also control flag position...both have to be adjusted to ⁸position your flag.The slip frequently...that's what messed up the first knob...Then it became a mutt point....flag pole plastic broke so can't hang the flad period.

I bought this flag holder as the increments on adjusting the pole angle are small. My previous holder were in fairly large increments so it was difficult to get the correct setting when utilizing different sizes of flags. Also like the screw adjustment that retains the pole. Very easy to use.

If you are in a high wind area don't but this product as it is not strong enough to deal with high wind.
