My mother and I are both teachers and get headaches from the flickering in fluorescent lights. She has always had to wear a visor and had daily migraines. I believe the lighting also plays a role in student health and behavior. I purchased 2 sets of these to cover my lights in my classroom. It’s made a huge difference in softening the light, making a comfortable working and learning environment, and still bright enough to function. They do come folded with creases, so I tumbled them in the dryer to get them out before hanging. The magnets were strong enough without needing to use other magnets or tape. I am pleased with the purchases.

Fit perfectly over the fluorescent lights of a classroom. The students liked them too. I only covered half of the total lights in my room and it made the lighting much more comfortable. The magnets kept them in place all year.

The color affects the lighting it gives off. I put a neutral solid color shade in my studio and it’s perfect to tone down the lighting without distorting my work.

I read that light covers like these could have a calming effect on kids. I don’t know about that, but my middle school kids did seem to enjoy them. Plus, they cut down on the harshness of the lighting.

I have not installed these as of yet, but they are very well-made and material is thicker than I expected not flimsy at all. I’m sure they will look very nice in my classroom.

I am so happy with these light covers. I have four lights in a small office and it was super bright. After adding these to my lights I get so many compliments on how inviting and soothing my office is. I got the space print so it may be darker than the other prints, but it works well for my liking.
