Great scope for the price
Bought this scope to sit ontop off my scar 17, haven't had a chance to use it yet but it seems great. Had to deduct a star because I'm not a fan of the short eye relief but it will work for me. Also like the red dot mounted on top for those closer more personal encounters. Changed my review to 5 stars, after going to the range a few times the eye relief is a non issue and this scope is worth it's weight in gold.

It's Big
This is a review of the initial un-boxing. I will update after a visit to the range. It arrived packaged from the factory; no doubts about that fact. Honestly, for this price, I was worried. Two optics for the price of one was almost too good to be true but no deceit on this seller’s part. The scope’s a tank; incredibly sturdy. It’s big though. If you’re looking to keep your rifle lightweight, I don’t know if this scope’s desirable? 1 pound, 3 oz. - mount is included in the weight. The reticle is also huge and the brightest I’ve ever seen. I won’t write negatively about the reticle until I visit the range. It may be awesome? The glass is excellent quality. I have a Leupold VX-R 1.25-4x20mm Patrol Rifle Scope, FireDot SPR on another AR-15 as well as a Trijicon ACOG on another AR-15; the glass is indistinguishable from the other two.The Lens caps seem fine but need range-time to truly be evaluated. The bottom line: The Burris Fastfire III with a Picatinny Mount is one of the best red dots in its price point, couple that with an etched reticle 5x scope for $399, and it’s at minimum, a purchasing win. Now, throw a Lifetime Warranty on top that is transferable.

Works as intended... I guess
Put this on a pellet rifle and proceeded to shoot a pesky raccoon in the ass. Didn't kill it, but it made an angry growl and waddled away. I'm guessing the sight would be just as effective on a real rifle.

Dont get the cheapo's... get this!!!
So, got this for my 16" ar. Mounted and off to the range!! I used a shooting stand with straps to "vice" it in place for sighting in. This puppy is nice!! Has a hefty weight, but far from unmanageable. Holds zero under heavy, long rapid fire. Easy to install, but you need to make sure its tightened down to whatever there specs are. Finger tight will leave the reticle askew. Very happy with purchase. This was a package that came with a nifty little red dot. The battery cover on this little red dot was hard to realign, only complaint. Will put this little fella on an upcoming purchase of a g34 soon!!!Overall, very satisfied with purchase. It is more expensive than the el cheapo versions, which I've already tried, and disliked. Burris has a great "no question " warranty, no receipt-just mail it in to them for repair/replace. Love that!! It is worth the money. Every. Single. Penny. Tack driver on a bench at 100 yards, and same bench (no vice, just bench rest) at 300 yards gave me 5 inch groups with cheapy range loads. For my needs, that'll work. You will not be disappointed with this.

Great deal
What a steal, great scope, great reflex red dot, and a great deal. Zero'd in easy, and great optics all around. Bought this for my GF's AR, and it works really well. Mounted easy, zero'd easy, not too heavy, and it holds zero. A lot of fun to shoot, and although the eye relief isn't generous and it does take some getting used to, it's still great once you get used to it.

GReat Quality
Not one issue with this sight and it is better than sights that are 2x the price or more. People fall into the name brand trap all the time but I care about quality and performance for a fair price. If you don't care about your money, please go buy a Trijicon with no regard to actual performance and you can just say you have one.

As advertised
This went on one of my wife's ARs and works great for her. Easy to dial in and at 100 yards she gets about an inch grouping. She put the fast fire on the AR pistol and it works equally well. No issues with either product.
