Exactly as advertised- taste so good!
I take certain medications that give me super dry mouth. I thought I’d pick some of these up cause they looked sweet. They actually help a ton with my dry mouth. They’re like little tiny rock candies/sugar candy that have a lot of flavor. When I’m having dry mouth spell, I just eat a couple, one at a time and they really help. Never thought I’d be saying something like these tiny candies could help my medications cotton mouth side effects but they’re great! Super pretty and tasty tiny candies! Thankssso much for also unintentionally helping with my dry mouth! I’ll keep getting them!

So cute
These little candies are so cute looking! But I was not too keen on the taste. They’re pretty similar to rock candy so basically hardened sugar which if that’s your jam then you’ll be happy. Theyre also a tad bit expensive. Adorable looking though so I was happy.

Tiny sugar crystals
They are just sugar crystals, ya know? Kind of hard to mess up.

Worth it
A lot of people are complaining about how much a small bag of Konpeito is, but I don't think they realize that this isn't something a machine can crank a million out in 5 minutes.Konpeito is produced by repeatedly coating a sugar syrup over a core consisting of a grain of coarse sugar. Each grain of the core sugar grows over the course of several days with the continued rotating, heating, and application of syrup, becoming a ball covered with tiny bulges. It takes at least 10 days to make a batch of Konpeito, and the rotation process can be affected by external factors such as weather conditions. That is why the confectioner has to apply their undivided attention, instinct, expertise, and mastery to make Konpeito. If there is any minor factor that goes wrong during the process, the whole batch of Konpeito has to be thrown out and started from scratch again. If this is too expensive, you are welcome to attempt to make your own. Be advised, it may take upwards of 20 years to fully master the process and make Konpeito of this quality.
