I am reviewing the product "Suckoo Serial DB9Pin RS232 Switch Splitter 2 in 1 Out 1 in 2 Out" on 13 January, 2024. I would call this a "switcher" rather than a "splitter", but whatever you call it, it performs the job of selecting which of the two connected serial devices is bridged to the output socket. This is a sturdy, solid, mechanical switch that does one thing well. I employed this switch in my home theater rack, allowing me to select between a video and an audio switcher for connecting via USB-serial adapter, and then transmitting switching commands from a script. It worked flawlessly and exactly as expected. For modest switching needs, this item is suitable and recommended.

There aren't many of us left that need to interface to serial devices using DB9 connectors, but if your control/logging PC needs to connect to a couple of different alternatives, this switcher simplifies that and reduces cable strain. Good buy!

Excelente producto

I have my piano and drums hooked into one laptop. I am now able to switch between the 2 different monitors in front of each instrument. This switch is very solid and works exactly as it should.
