Puppy no longer lame :)
Our puppy had suspected elbow dysplasia although nothing showed up on CT scan or ultrasound. She was limping intermittently, especially on waking up after short sleeps. The vet recommended she try these and I think that after a couple of weeks they have made a big difference. He thought she may have arthritis. She had been lame for about two months and now seems to be completely better and we are finally able to walk her happily again. She is 7.5kg and takes half a tablet a day - she eats the pill from my hand very easily (she isn't a fussy dog with what she eats anyway, but obviously likes the taste).

Excellent product for dogs with arthritis
We've used this product now for several years for an older dog with arthritis. I can highly recommend it. We had previously tried a couple of cheaper brands but they made no differene to the arthritis - this has helped. It's not a 'quick 'fix' but if you keep using it over the weeks and months hopefully you'll see a difference in your pet. I've given 4 stars for Flavour as I don't know if it's a change in my dog's taste, or a change in the pills, but he's not nearly so keen on this last batch than previous ones!

Hidden Corn Ingredients Triggered Severe Reaction (Plus a Better Protocol)
⚠️ PLEASE READ: A CRITICAL WARNING FOR Dog Owners ⚠️ If you’re looking for a joint supplement for your dog’s arthritis, please heed this warning. After three and a half years as a loyal customer, I can no longer recommend Dasuquin. 📉 The 3.5-Year Failure My small breed dog, Micah, was on a consistent maintenance dose for mobility support. I trusted the "clinical" reputation, yet while taking it daily, his health declined. Micah eventually suffered an excruciating cruciate rupture and was diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis. Despite the company's marketing around Avocado-Soybean Unsaponifiables (ASU), this product did not prevent his injury or the worsening of his condition. He reached a point where he could no longer climb stairs, leaving me fearing we were headed toward euthanasia. 🚫 Hidden Formula Changes & Allergens The breaking point occurred with my latest bottle. Micah had an immediate adverse reaction, leading me to discover the formula had changed without clear warning. It now includes: • Fermentation-derived Glucosamine🌽 • Dextrose (Corn Sugar) 🌽 This change triggered a severe corn allergy in my dog. Those seeking safe joint care for dogs with food sensitivities or chronic joint pain should beware of these fermentation-derived ingredients. Furthermore, my research suggests that the ASU levels in this specific product may be insufficient to provide the therapeutic results promised. 📢 A Respectful Request to the Manufacturer These formulation changes put my pet at risk. I now have two bottles of a product that I cannot use. It is crucial that companies clearly highlight formulation changes on product labels and Amazon listings to protect consumers with allergies. Transparency is a safety necessity❗ ✨ The Transformation (January 2026) Determined to fight for my best friend’s quality of life, I overhauled my strategy. Within three months, Micah experienced improved joint comfort and vitality. For those in a similar position, here is the research-based protocol that got us results: • High-Dose Omegas: I switched to Omega Pet by Nordic Naturals. It is lab-tested, provides the concentrated EPA/DHA levels needed for inflammation, and is conveniently available on Amazon Prime. • UC-II Collagen: In 2026, clinical studies suggest that UC-II collagen is more effective for cartilage support than glucosamine and chondroitan, which, form the backbone of Dasaquin. Amazon sells a UC-II product under the brand Anivatio. For a reliably corn-free UC-II formulation, we use Pawable’s Collagen supplement. The Result: Micah at 10 Years Old It is now January 2026, and a recent visitor told me my senior boy looks like a ‘different dog’. He can get up onto the couch again and climb stairs without difficulty. You would never know he is 10. His recovery was supported by physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, but the removal of this ineffective product and the switch to quality Omegas and UC-II finally gave Micah his life back. ❌ Final Verdict: I Do Not Recommend This Product I do not recommend Dasuquin. Don't wait 3.5 years or until your dog is facing a mobility crisis to realise a product isn't working. If your dog's mobility is declining or if they aren't improving on their current joint supplement, look closely at the ingredients. Micah is living proof that there is a better, more transparent way to support our senior dogs. 🐾
