the plate is beautifully done, very well made high quality. I use it for almost anything cuz it's big and deeper in size. I can even eat my ramen on this plate as well as many more different types of foods.the best I appreciate about this plate is the smart design of a slightly inward curve. It can free one hand of mine for I can simply place my thumb there and lift it with the rest of my fingers even when it's stacked and heavier with food. the inward curve is tactful and designed tastefully, like a pedal.I found many other products from them to be very beautiful too and I wish I could buy more. Don't hesitate if you found the product you wanna buy because you won't regret it.

The plates are beautiful! I was in the process of collecting the Pasta Plate set, received 2 orders without incident. The 3rd order was received damaged, I notified Amazon and a replacement set was shipped. The attached pictures is how I received the replacement set. There was no protective packing material in the box and the product box was open. One of the plates was broken. Needless to say going forward i'll purchase directly from Villeroy and Boch. It will be more expense but my hope is they will do a better job with shipping and handling.

The pasta bowl is wonderful! Perfect for pasta dishes, salads, stir fry. The size is large. I haven’t seen any like this in stores or on-line. Highly recommend based on size, quality, functionality, and looks!

I really like these plates for pasta. It’s a pleasure to eat from it. The only concern that I have is to be careful placing them in the dishwasher as they are tall and quite big. Otherwise it’s good quality, nice interesting design. I also appreciated it the nice sale price!

I use this plate for pasta I love everything about it. It feels solid but not too heavy. It looks beautiful and holds plenty of pasta.

Lightweight and elegant pasta plate. It can be used for formal dinner and also as a plate for tv room lap dining.

I’m a fan of Villeroy and Boch. These plates are a great design. They are called pasta plates but are more bowl than plate and are versatile for different meals. I wouldn’t advise using for meals where you would have to cut a lot of the food because they are more bowl than plate design.They are slightly cream or ivory in color, not a bright white. In the posted picture, the V&B plate is next to a white West Elm organic shaped plate for color contrast. So don’t count on matching a white set if that’s important to you. It wasn’t to me.The uniqueness of the plate is the utensil rest for a fork or spoon and the plate lip located on the high side of the utensil rest. It will allow you to drag food up to stop and catch it at the rim.They are porcelain so they are strong without being too heavy.The down side of the medium plate is the size of actual useable space. The plate does measure 10 3/4 inches across but the flat surface space at the bottom before you start the upward curve is roughly 6 inches or less. So that’s about the size of a luncheon plate. You will fit an adequate helping of food but not a large amount without the food creeping up on curved part of the bowl/plate. You can see that in the pictures and videos used to advertise the plates on the website and youtube.The other down side is the stacking of the plates as they do not stack evenly.Would have preferred the 12.2 inch plates but most normal kitchen cabinets are not deep enough to accommodate plates that large so I passed on the larger ones. If you have a place to store the larger pasta plates, go for it.
