PitBoss 1150 Pro: I wouldn't suggest installing with just the magnets as they are quite weak and aren't strong enough to hold it in place, but if you use the provided screws and attached it to the heat shield it works great! I had a flame up before and it fried my internal thermometer, but hopefully after this install, it will be more protected.

Bought a pit boss smoker Laredo 1000. It has temp issues with grill temps and overa ll temperature. So i bought this in place to assist in keeping the whole smoker the same temp. When I put it on and ran it as a test. The smoker never got above 150 degrees for some reason. It would just sit at 150. I took this piece out, and it immediately shot up in temp. Turned everything off, and repeated this a couple times. It does not help the Laredo in anyway, and in fact it hinders it.It also got moisture to it, and it rusted the same week i got it. I have it sitting with the smoker, but its just metal i need to throw away, but cant bring myself to do it. Wont try to return it due to the rust etc. as that would just be messed up.Take what it says with a grain of salt, and test it for yourself on your smoker. It may or may not work by the looks of it.

We bought this after reading that it could help get your grill up to temperature faster. I didn't really notice it helping but it did cure the hot spot issue. (Opening the chimney more has helped to get the grill to temperature faster.)

Works great at helping the radiant heat more accurately. Falls off when moving grill. Doesn’t line up perfectly on my pit boss Lexington but is very close.

ordered this for my first pellet grill , notice temp difference from right to left so after reading reviews ordered this , could have made my own i think but this was good material and came fast ... think ill be happy to have ordered .....

This modification made the right side of my smoker much hotter than left side. It was the opposite before, but not as extreme. This was on my Lorado 1000. Will be returning.

I ordered after seeing how this product support the heat deflector on the left end. However, my PRO series Pit Boss already had this kind of support for both ends, so it wasn't needed. I wish the seller had mentioned that.
