Tiptree Lemon Curd, 11 Ounce Jars (Pack of 2)

Seems broken jars are an on going issue because the co seals 2 jars together in thin plastic and then Amazon puts in a box with NO bubble wrap...One jar smashed badly the other didnt break...The curd taste wonderful and will order one at a time next time...I did order 2 passion fruit and those came wrapped separately in small bubble wrap and were fine..

This is an absolutely wonderful and delightful flavorable lemon curd! Product came very quickly and was packaged well. Will definitely use this lemon curd again....GREAT on SCONES and almost anything else that lemon lovers would love.

To start off you get two small jars, 312 grams roughly equals 11 ounces each jar. I am glad I purchased this lemon curd from Tiptree, Essex, England. Upon arrival of the jars I thoroughly inspected the jar and lid to make sure the jar wasn't cracked during shipping and the center button was vacuumed correctly.., everything is in order,passed my inspection. On to the taste test, I compared Duncan Hines Comstock lemon creme to Tiptree ingredients. Comstock listed way ,too, many and a long list of preservatives and chemical.., yuck.Tiptree only has simple ingredients: Sugar, Butter, Lemon juice (11%), egg yolk and whole eggs, regulator: citrus acid, pectin: citrus, lemon oil.Taste test: Tiptree has a pleasant lemon to sugar ratio which balances out the tart and sweet. You can taste the lemon without the over power of sweet.Comstock taste very sugary, not much lemon taste and artificial to me.I made lemon filled cupcakes w/ powdered sugar dusting Sunday 4/16 for my B'day (I made this my tradition since I was 16). I was pleased how my cupcakes turned out. My family loved the lemon curd a lot. I will explore other Tiptree products.I use moist lemon cake mix, Tiptree lemon curd,Sucre Neige Non-melting powdered sugar (is less sweet than confectioner's sugar).cut out center (keep the caps), fill with curd, replace cap and lightly dust with powdered sugar.The cupcakes didn't survive two days , that is how scrumptious they are.I highly recommend Tiptree lemon curd 100%.

Amazon is the best all around!

For some reason, the area I live does not have lemon curd in stores and I didn't have the time to make some myself so I purchased this brand. The ingredient list was easy to understand, it rightfully has a ton of positive reviews, and the taste is fantastic. I've used in in a lemon tiramisu and a lemon curd cake and the flavor it added was delicious. This will definitely be something I continue to purchase...

Great taste! I concur with all of the other positive reviews. I decorate cakes and had a wedding cake order with lemon curd filling. I was hesitant about making my own for this order. Read the reviews here on Amazon, several times--placed an order and then cancelled after deciding to make my own. What made me change my mind? Rose Levy Beranbaum, the author of "The Cake Bile". In her most recent cook book she recommended purchasing Tiptree Lemon Curd if you were in a pinch and couldn't make your own! That advice coming from her made me come back to Amazon and place the order. I received it 2 days--could not wait to taste it--it was worth the wait. I used it to fill the wedding cake--I got rave reviews on my "homemade" curd! I am not against making my own from scratch--this just happens to be an awesome alternative.

The lemon curd is leaking out of the jars and you can't return or exchange this item!!!

I know making your own lemon curd seems easy but sometimes I just want a little and quickly. This is tasty and definitely has enough lemon. I recommend.
