I have extremely thick, naturally curly hair, and this is a great detangler either wet or dry. I use it on my 2nd or 3rd day hair, and it works great to refresh my curls; and to leave it detangled without heavy weight.

Takes knots out of hair very easy.

I typically love & rely on this product. Imagine my surprise when I received it open & EMPTY. I normally do not right negative reviews but was upset when the pricey 32.8 oz bottle was empty... I paid close to $60 & was about to wash my hair....It works well but not if the bottle is empty!!!

Used this on my daughter's 4C natural hair. It was ok but I expected a thicker formulation, more like a jelly. It was was as thin as a regular conditioner. Fine but nothing special.

I have tried a lot of different products to help wit my frizzy straight hair and this is by far the best product on the market. The hair responds well and is super easy to comb through the other products made by Curl Keeper.

As expensive as this was, they didn’t even fill the bottle to the top. Where’s the rest of it? It looked like someone used it a few times, then mailed it to me. (This picture is right out of the box. Product starts at the label, not the top.)This was not how it was the first time I bought it. It was no where near as expensive and it was filled to the top, plus it worked wonders on my hair. I haven’t used it yet, but I will update this review with the results. I really hope they didn’t change the formula.

I have been using this for a few weeks now and have been loving my hair!*How I use it:* I shampoo and condition with my normal routine and then as hair gets damp apply this product to the ends of my hair, mostly by spraying into hands and using the praying hands method. I can reapply to dry hair (if needed) without heavy build-up .*The Results:* My hair is long, fine, wavy and tends to be dry — I color it and straighten it after most washes (2x a week.) The snarls in the back of my hair were causing breakage and my hair just didn’t feel nice. I was using VO5 Simply Stunning with good results, but they discontinued the product. After researching for another good product with slip, I tried this one because it contained panthenol which my hair seems to love. The product is light and yet lasts for days, unless I am out in the wind or sun in which case I can reapply where needed without causing hair to frizz up! The snarls are all but gone and the hair just has a wonderful silkiness to it.

I currently have pretty long hair -- well past my shoulders. Unfortunately, since I turned 30, my hair seems to tangle and split much more easily than when I was young. This leads to the back of my head especially being tangled when I wake up in the morning. When you're half-asleep and grumpy, the last thing you want is to try and brush tangled hair and end up yanking on it. This brand is advertised for people with curly hair, but my mom got a sample packet of this stuff from another vendor when she purchased some makeup, and she gave it to me. My hair is naturally straight (perhaps a *little* wavy), and I could not believe how well it worked; when the packet ran out I knew I had to get a bottle.Yes, it's a bit pricey, but you don't need much. Just rub a little into tangled areas, let it sit for a moment, and then use a brush like the Tangle Teezer to work your way from the bottom to the top, and when you reach the tangled part, it seems to just slide apart. The brush also helps distribute it through your hair. It smells nice and works exceptionally well, and so far it's been worth every penny.

Get this if you're black and want a silicone-free, non-oily, isopropyl alcohol-free, shea-free, nut-free hair detangler.I'm black - not mixed - with an extremely coily spirally tight hair pattern. It worked amazingly on my hair without leaving it greasy or hardened like some other ones do.I've tried this brand's original Slip Detangler before and it helped to unravel the knots but was too thin in consistency for my hair pattern and the phenoxyethanol in it irritated my scalp.I was pretty excited to see this come out, especially since it doesn't have that preservative. I used it with my Carina Organics leave in and have already purchased the bigger size.

This stuff is gooey, drippy and sticky. It creates more tangles than it removes. On my fine curly hair it’s a complete disaster

I bought this product because it had good reviews and I had never tried a “slip” detangler before. My child’s hair is long and loosely curly and RIDICULOUSLY tangly. I can only brush through their hair when freshly washed and detangled. Even then, it’s super hard to get through. This product really surprised me - in some serious matted tangles, it really helped. You still have to work at it a bit, because it’s not “magical” but so far it’s the best thing I’ve found.

If you are using a heavy shampoo no conditioner routine for your fine curly hair this product is essential!
