NauticaMen's Mini Ripstop Twill Cargo Short

I have been searching for years for a pair of cargo shorts that aren't X-Gen skater baggy, or Gen Z Crocodile Hunter short; a pair with moderate pockets for a wallet, phone, keys, and some oddity, but not pockets big enough to smuggle a therapy dog; a pair that doesn't need ironing (if you know how to do laundry properly), and also does look like you slept in them after five minutes of sitting. These are those cargo shorts!

I am always afraid to order shorts online - I don't like shorts that are too 'short'. These were advertised as 9.5" in length. They were perfect, just below the knee. Light but tough strong fabric. Very happy with this choice.

I read other reviews and agree with most of them. Yes they run a bit small, I normally wear a 36 (which in fairness is tight on me) but I ordered a 38 and they are comfortable. As another reviewer mentioned the shorts are more dark grey than black as you can see from my picture of black socks on top of them. I got the them for under $40 so I’m not going to complain but if I paid the “original” price I’d probably send them back

I have had a pair of these shorts for several years. I don’t remember where I bought them.I ware them quite often. They ware well and clean up very well.When I saw them on Amazon, I couldn’t help but buy another pair.They are just like the first pair when it comes to comfort and fit.Seriously thinking about getting another pair!

I bought these as a replacement for another pair of Nautica cargo shorts that I simply loved, but this new design is MUCH longer than its predecessor (so I returned them). They fell a full 1 1/2 inches below my knee with the waistband snugly on my hips. If you, like me, prefer your shorts to extend no lower than your knee (ideally, with some room to spare) and also to have a smaller portion of the total length taken up by the rise (from waist to bottom of crotch) relative to the inseam (from bottom of crotch to bottom of leg hem), then these shorts are not for you. However, if you like a longer short, then these very well may be a great choice. My previous Nautica shorts were well-made, comfortable and durable...so I expect that these are as well.
