Easy to install and effective
These leak detectors appear to work well. I placed them inside plastic pans under the drain pipes. I have 4 convectors that occasionally have leaks and one of them had a hairline crack in one of the trays which resulted in a slow drip. The detector sounded the alarm and I was able to catch the leak when there was a tiny amount of water in the plastic pan underneath. Had I not had the these, I may not have noticed the leak until I had a puddle or a flood. These are very easy to install and set. They have a volume setting too but even at the lowest setting, they're loud especially because I'm in a one level apartment. I recommended them to others who are also satisfied with the extra protection. Note that this model does NOT connect to your phone for alerts so if you need that option, you'd need to spend more money for a different model.

Effective damp alarms. Saved us time and a boatload of money.
These things are great! They are simple to use and function just as advertised. We had a sneaky leak under or kitchen sink. By arranging several of these on paper towels in the areas that were getting wet, we were able to find it and fix it. We then re-used them when we had a new dishwasher installed. They picked up a leak from the air gap that would otherwise have just dripped every time we ran the unit until we finally figured out there was a leak way at the back of the cabinet. Useful item. I'll be hanging onto them.

Catch water issues fast!!
My neighbor bought these and had a leak in a bathroom not often used. It went off right away preventing a larger issue. We immediately purchased.

Good, compact, loud leak detectors
Very simple, but loud water alarms. The batteries are easy to install (2 AAAs). With multiple volumes for the alarms, they’re customizable. According to the instructions, you can also pair it with a “hub” to make the alarms “smart.” We didn’t purchase that additional device because I prefer simplicity. One downside is that the low power alert only occurs once and it is a short three-chirp alert (according to the instructions). So, we will need to be sure to check the devices every few months to make sure the batteries work. Ideally, these would chirp once every hour if the batteries are low. Otherwise, I’m happy with the simplicity, volume and size.

awesome 5 pack of water leak detectors
This is simple yet easy to use water leak detectors. It's small in size but with very loud alarm. I love that these use 2 AAA batteries rather than 9V battery like my old water leak detector, which was very difficult to install the battery. 2 AAA batteries are much easier to install and also readily available at home compared to 9V batteries. BTW, I was very glad to see that brand new batteries were also included with these detectors. These have 4 water sensors on the bottom and 1 sensor on top. I also love that it has large TEST button to test the unit and it can be used to turn off the alarm in the event when it goes off due to water detection. The best way to use these detectors is to place them on top of a paper towel so that if there's any water leak near by then it will get absorbed by the paper towel then immediately touch one of four sensors on the bottom to sound the alarm. I have placed these under the sinks and behind the toilet tanks so I will know immediately if there's any sort of water leak, which isn't something that I check often. Always test it before using it to confirm that it's working and I also appreciate that it has low battery alert so I don't have to second guess and check the batteries every few months. Highly recommend these water leak detectors. It will pay for itself by just alerting you with water leak once. Better safe than sorry... 5 out of 5 stars!

Detected a huge water leak instantly!
We had our whole house repiped last week. Last year we had a huge water leak in the wall and had to have the entire kitchen replaced. We have severe plumbing trauma and we are terrified of water leaks- As a result I bought these handy little guys. Maybe I thought it into existence but the morning after we put them out (and used our washing machine for the first time) the alarm went off, loud. I knew immediately what it was and we came to find our entire laundry area flooded because the plumbers forgot to hook up the drain line from the washing machine. Had I not had one of these little guys my machine would have dumped countless more gallons of water in the rinse cycle 🫠. All this to say, it works, buy it and put it under every water hookup in the house.

Increase your peace of mind
A neighbor had a pipe leak and flooded half the house before awaking to a mess. When I moved in to my house, I discovered one AC's primary drain line was blocked, the water was going out the secondary line but the pan was dangerously close to overflowing. Earlier this year, one of my water heaters developed a leak, which I discovered when I noticed water dripping from the outside drain line. (My replacement water heater has a sensor that cuts off the water if a leak is detected). I considered the new whole house cutoff valve, that somehow learns water use patterns and shuts off when it thinks there is a leak - but there is no easy way to install one here. With all this in mind, I bought two packs, 10 total, and placed one in each water heater pan, AC pan, bathrooms and by the clothes washer - pretty much anywhere where a leak is likely. My daughter triggered one while cleaning a bathroom, so they do work. Hopefully I will never need to know how well they work, but it's a cheap warning system. (I told my neighbor about these and she ordered a set)

Compact for easy placement, loud alarm
These water leak detectors are small enough to fit pretty much anywhere. The low profile means they can be easily slipped under your dishwasher or washing machine, as well as under pipes in your kitchen and bathroom cupboards. I like that they take 2 AAA batteries instead of the button batteries you would expect. AAA'S are cheaper and you can use rechargeable ones. They still seem to be working since I initially installed batteries - I don't think they chirp when the battery is low, so I regularly check them to make sure the batteries are still good. The alarm itself is loud! While this won't help if you aren't home, if you are home you will definitely hear it. These don't have remote notification capabilities, but you would also pay a lot more for a device that does. If there is just a little bit of water on the floor, you can re-use these once the alarm sounds, but if they got submersed they probably wouldn't work anymore as there isn't a waterproof seal where they come apart to insert the batteries. These are great for peace of mind, knowing there is a loud alarm if something starts leaking, without having a large financial commitment.

Must Have Alarm For Water Leaks But Missing Option To Be Warned Remotely
I’ve had a few problems with leaks over the years especially with Poly B pipe in my 1990’s built house. (I wish I had a leak alarm system in place back then) Last year I finally had all the old pipe replaced but the threat of leaks whether structural or human caused is always a possibility. When I saw these water leak detectors, I wasted no time ordering them to give them a try. They come in a pack of five and each one takes 2 AAA batteries (included). They measure approximated 3” x 2” so are a discreet enough size to place in many areas around the home. I chose to place them under the kitchen sink, in the laundry room, utility room (where we have a boiler and hot water tank), as well as in the rental suite we’ve just completed in the basement. These alarms have a drip detector on top as well as 4 small flood probes underneath. When the batteries are installed and the casing is properly closed, the alarms are very sensitive with a very effective audible alert. It’s important to pretest each one ( put a few drops of water on both top and bottom) to make sure they alarm before you put them to work. We had trouble with one alarm before we realized it wasn’t properly closed after installing the batteries. The alarms sounds continually for about 15 seconds and then will go off briefly every 15 seconds until manually turned off. (I would think it’s to preserve battery life until you deal with the problem) The alarm is very loud, which you would want. My husband heard it when I was testing one in the basement and he was upstairs. Now, the fact you can hear it from other places in the house is great, but what if you’re not home? That’s where it becomes a problem. As expressed by other reviewers, these alarms don’t seem to have a Smart option to hook up with Wifi while away and there are no instructions included to give you that option even though the box they come in has a “Wifi connection” symbol on the outside. It’s confusing. This is where I find these leak detectors come up short. Although they do an exceptional job audibly alerting me when I’m home, I would also like the additional piece of mind to be advised of a problem remotely.

Peace of Mind in Every Corner
The WD61 Water Leak Detector 5 Pack is an excellent solution for anyone looking to protect their home from unexpected water damage. Each unit is compact and easy to place, whether it’s behind a toilet, under a sink, near a water heater, or beside the washing machine. The small size doesn't take up much space, but it packs a powerful punch when it comes to alerting you to leaks before they become costly problems. Setup is completely hassle-free — just insert the included batteries, place the detector where you need it, and you're done. There’s no need for Wi-Fi, apps, or complicated programming. The alarm is loud and unmistakable, loud enough to hear from another room, which is exactly what you want in case of a leak. It reacts instantly to water contact, giving you time to act quickly and avoid potential damage. One of the best things about this pack is the value. With five detectors included, you can cover multiple vulnerable areas in your home at once. They're reusable, easy to dry off and reset after triggering, and the battery life is impressive. The design is simple, but very effective, making them a smart investment for long-term home safety.
