Beware before buying!
The important thing to know is that the sprocket on a compatible model may have to be replaced as well. The chain will not fit on a 3/8 sprocket so if you are buying this bar and have a 3/8 sprocket you may have to change the sprocket as well if even possible. The seller says it cannot be returned as it is “subject to hazardous materials regulation”. …really? There are no indications on the shipping that it is hazardous…delivered by ups ground. Seller obviously has had problems with honoring returns in the past. Do not buy unless you are absolutely certain the bar will work with the listed model.

Game changer on a Milwaukee M18 Hatchet
The media could not be loaded. Saw a video on YouTube of someone using a Stihl bar on an M18 hatchet but they used a custom full house chain which is way too much. Bites too hard. So I wanted to try just the bar itself. It says on the bar a 44 drive link chain but that is only for a Stihl saw. The Milwaukee’s sprocket it further back so it needs a 45 drive link chain. It’s 3/8LP 0.043” chain. The easiest thing I could’ve done was grab the 12” Oregon bar because they make the original 8” but I wanted the Stihl.How does it cut? Amazing! Does not bog down the saw. I can fall a 10 inch oak one handed while recording it for Instagram. Which I did. Does not kick, and it’s gotten my 261 out of a pinch. Nicely weighted, doesn’t fall over when you set it down. And you can reach things a lot easier.
