I use bat manure because my father farmed with it and cow manure from the barnes. He said that chemical fertilizer ruined the land plus it was the product of feeding at night in flying insects. I did not understand that until years later when I read a university research paper that stated that chemical fertilizer led to a decrease or extinction of natural rhizomes living in the earth. At that, time (about the late 40s it came in 200# bags) and people could carry them.

If your going to grow well you mix in soil and it works just fine. The bag I bought will last me for 20-30 grows so if your like to do your own mix buy it ya can't go wrong.

I've been buying this stuff since I was 16 and in high school growing tomatoes like crazy now I use it for my medicinal stuff but this looks a little finer than the stuff I used to get but that's good it's a lot easier to mix
