I hade upgraded my laptop to a 2TB drive, but needed somewhere to place the original 256GB SSD. This case is perfect for that purpose. its fairly rugged, however there is no gasket in this guy, so I would not dunk this in water. The bumper case is perfect for protecting it when you inevitably drop it. The integrated cable into the carabiner is nice, however don't expect to use it like a carabiner. there is not enough friction to keep the cable from coming loose. I would also be wary of this part as I do not know how long it will last. For the important parts of connecting this to my desktop. I don't have any issues. Transfer speeds are slower than an actual thunderbolt device, but works well for transferring a lot of small files. Don't get an expensive drive for this guy, the 10GBs is only going to really max out at 1000mb/s, 2000mb/s if you are lucky. so any NVME that is faster than 2gb/s is not going to see an appreciable speed difference. Overall it does what it needs to do and nothing else. perfect for my needs.

First up - the performance is top notch. Reads/Writes almost saturate a 10gbps link (see screenshot) which is great. Whats even better is that the temperatures remain low thanks to the RTL9210B chipset! So the transfer speeds dont throttle even on long file operations. Could the price have been a bit lower, sure. But again, a 2230 enclosure is a very niche device , especially in the Indian market so even the price is actually quite fair! the included LANyard US3.1 cable is an added plus! This would have been a 6 star product at 1500 but still deserves 5 star at the slightly higher price paid (which i think is kinda fair given the niche nature of 2230 SSDs)

Prix correct pour un boîtier très compact et performant. Vitesse de 1 Go/s respectée avec un SSD de 512 Go Hynix, le refroidissement est très efficace quand on choisit bien la bonne épaisseur de pad thermique, le contact est bon, et le boîtier refroidit bien le SSD. Facile à monter, et l'aluminium est solide et bien fini. La protection silicone est parfaite et protège bien le SSD. L'astuce d'utiliser le câble USB comme dragonne est bien pensée, mais attention à ne pas trop tirer dessus et le perdre. Bref, un boîtier simple mais qui remplit parfaitement son rôle. Permet de se faire un SSD portable de grande capacité à coût raisonnable avec les SSD d'occasion en ligne, c'est parfait!
