Other memorable contestants included athletic Burton Roberts, sexy mortician Darrah Johnson, and Scoutmaster Lillian Morris. One of the best Survivor seasons ever
One of the best Survivor seasons ever. From the start when the contestants are into the water in their publicity photo clothes, to Rupert stealing trade-able commodities from the other team because he is on a pirate adventure and pirates steal, to Johnny Fairplay's shenanigans, this season has it all. The eventual winner's 'under the radar' and 'anyone but me' strategy has been unfairly criticised but nobody can deny it was effective. A friend of mine always bagged me for watching survivor because he just didn't get it... until i made him watch the first episode of this season. He was hooked straight away. Shame we can't get these dvd's for our region in Australia but not a big deal. I just hook my laptop up to my big screen with a HDMI cable and enjoy. Arrived in Oz in a timely manner and in good quality. Highly recommend this season.

It's a must
This season of Survivor is one of the few that features a central theme: piracy. All of the challenges are based of pirates which makes for a different experience. There are multiple twists in this season that are worth the price of shipping and handling. I really enjoyed the contestants this season: smart-eleck Johnny Fairplay, sassy Sandra Diaz, and the wonderful Rupert Boneham. This season also features the first contestant to ever quit the game. For any Survivor fan, the Pearl Islands is a must.

One of, if not the, best season of Survivor
The season is amazing, pure and simple. The twists? Brilliant. The castaways? Brilliant. The challenges? Brilliant. This is definitely the best pre-All Stars season by a longshot. The only thing that disappoints me about this season is that there's only been 4 returnees. The gameplay was really taken up a notch here, which is a well deserved treat from the boring Pagongings that plagued the first 6 seasons. I was left on the edge from start to finish. An absolutely astounding season. If you're looking to get someone hooked on Survivor, show them this.

If only...
Season 7 Pearl Islands could have been better. Oh, it already is a wonderful season and one you should definably buy if you haven't already; but this season made a huge blunder by (Spoilers) the outcast twist. Lill should have NEVER do you hear me NEVER should have come back and ruined the rest of the season. If only they did not have the outcast twist, this one would be in my top 5 (It's number 8.) P.S. Burton did come back (Yes!)

Great DVD set, but somewhat lacking.
The special features and audio commentaries were a very nice addition over "Survivor: Amazon", which had none. However, once again NO CLOSED CAPTIONING. This has been a disappointment in several of the Survivor seasons I have purchased; including "Survivor: Amazon", which had a DEAF CONTESTANT! How could this be overlooked? Don't know who's to blame for it, I would have to assume CBS...

Rupert love
Survivor is my husband's and my favorite show. We cannot get enough. For some odd reason he didn't see the Rupert season, huh?? So, I bought him the season on dvd for Christmas. Who doesn't love Rupert? You know how your kids can watch the same movie over and over and you wonder why? Enough said.

Just about perfect!
What a fantastic season. A glorious shot in the arm to the franchise that's a great introduction for newer fans of the show. It's got great old school elements but feels very fresh right out of the gate. Tons of great characters and memorable moments and is rarely predictable. Very easy to watch and re-watch.

This is an amazing season! People flip flop ALL the time so if you think your fav is leaving think again;) this season has a lot of people that you have seen on the newer seasons so it is very cool to see them playing there first season.
