These are an excellent size and a bonus that they are in different colours and have the write-on label panel.These are so superior to what I have previously used, like basic tie-wrap cable ties that have to be cut off, ones with a tab (so they can be released and reused), smaller versions of this Velcro type (not long enough or strong enough for long, thick cables) and double-sided Velcro (cut to required length - these being a fiddle to find the end to undo, though). I have never liked the basic plastic-coated wires that are often supplied with ends twisted around for short, small cables. These ones are a bit large for such short, small cables but a smaller size is available. They are not just good cable ties, they are also useful adjuncts for fixing things onto a rucsac, as well as making loops for hanging up things in garage or workshop. They are easy to join together for a longer loop. At around 30p each, these are a good investment.

These ties will be great for keeping larger/longer cables tidy, as well as other items - for example, I've used them for garden wire, raffia and craft materials as well as my jump leads and ratchet straps in the car. It's also possible to link them together to make a longer holder if necessary for larger objects. The write-on tab is useful when needed to identify use, ownership or other details. The strips themselves are lightweight velcro, and I wouldn't want to put too much strain on them, but at the price (£9.99 for 60 at time of writing) they are a useful substitute for single use tie-wraps.
