Kangen has two different filters, so look at the base of your old filter to make sure you have the right one!Having said that, this filter lasted 6 months under regular use. (Note: I am single so for a couple, I'd say 3 months is what you should get).Actually, it worked fine after 6 months. Did not slow down nor clog. However... I did start to notice that the water was starting to taste like tap water and my machine started saying that it needed the cleaning cycle (where you run water through it until it stops saying "It Cleans It") so I knew it was time to change it out.Make sure to clean your machine every month or two as per instructed. Simply buy food grade citric acid here on Amazon and use 2 rounded tablespoons in the cleaning cartridge. Hope this helps!

I was concerned about whether this filter would work with my ionizer but the instructions were clear on determining which filter to buy. The company called me to make sure I'd ordered the right filter before sending the filter. It arrived quickly and worked fine. I had a general question and the company was very helpful. They even called me a few months after purchase to make sure everything was working fine. Much cheaper than Enagic and it works.

Made for A20 alkaline water machine

I was somewhat skeptical when my husband decided to purchase this water filter here on Amazon, instead of from the company that we got our water machine from. I have to say, I am sold now. Not only does this water filter work just as well as the ones that we purchased directly from the company, it has saved us a lot of money by going this way too! Thank you for a great product, and also for saving us a lot of money.

Great product

I have bought several filters in the past and your mileage varies on the the taste and the PH levels. I did do a complete cleaning before installing this filter. Then I ran it for about 5 minutes without the power on to give it a good rinse. The taste of the water is good (similar to store bought 9.5 water) and when I tested the PH levels of the different settings it is the closest I have had with any filter that I have bought. Will definitely be buying again and likely will buy a backup now. I just wish they weren't so expensive but the cheaper ones I have bought have not tasted very good.

After 3 months the filter refuses to pass water. Customer service did call to question the water pressure in my area after I placed ordered telling me if I had any problems contact them. I never had a problem with the water pressure and my Kagen filter, didn't expect there would be a problem. My 2 Kagen filters each lasted over a year. Now Customer Service told me the life of their filter is at least 6 months, although it has only been 3 month. I was also told I would not be sent a replacement, but I had to return the filter so they can send it back to the manufacter,(no paid shipping label) to determin if it is MY water pressure or a filter defect. Replacement at this point is undetermined. Then I was told, they have experienced water pressure problems in the NYC area, Brooklyn (where I live) Queens and Staten Island. Now they claim their filter is more compacted and not loosely grandulated like the original, that's why it possible doesn't work and I may need to purchase a pump (they probably sell) to use their filter. WHAT THE HECK! (BATE N SWITCH)This is information customers should be told before they purchase, it should be posted in their description. If I was told this prior, guarantee I wouldn't have bought it. The aggravation isn't worth the $20 bucks I saved. I would post a video if it wasn't an additional pain for me to post.

I usually order the original filter for my machine which is more expensive and thought I would try this less expensive filter. I notice the difference right away with the white flecky residue that seemed to take forever to flush out. Not sure if I will order this again. It is working fine now...but time will tell how long.
