Perfect replacement
Perfect replacement. My home security system suddenly went down. When I checked the voltage of each channel it was only 5v each. Found this replacement and once it arrived, it took less than 5 minutes to connect and my cameras were back up. Cheap fix!

Decent, high current 12 volt power supply with variable voltage
This is the third unit I've purchased of the 12VDC 15 amp switching power supply. I use these power supplies for powering up Suburban RV 35,000 BTU furnaces. The power supplies are well built and provide around 15 amps of current at 12 to 14.8 volts. These's a variable voltage trim-pot to the right of the terminal block that allows for voltage adjustment but it will come from the factory set at 12.8 vdc. Most RV's will not need a power supply for this usage because nearly all RV will have a 12 VDC power at the furnace but Park Model trailers are not RV and are more closely related to "mobile home" than a typical RV. These type of trailer do not use 12volts DC for anything and do not have or offer any 12 volt supply. The power supply is mounted within 15 inches of the furnace and works well for this application. It also works well for other applications such as a bench top power supply for testing or using two-way radio and great for testing 12volt automotive parts such as stereos/radio, lighting, communications gear, etc. The terminal block is easy to get to providing a Neutral, hot and ground screw terminals and on the low volt output side there are two positive and two negative screw terminals. The entire terminal block has a clear plastic cover BUT it's still possible to touch the high voltage side of this power supply if you're not careful. This is NOT a power supply you want to leave where someone (a child) could touch the power supply as it's possible to touch the high voltage terminals if further measures aren't put into place to cover/insulate these screw terminals. I would suggest this power supply be placed into a PVC electrical box if it must be installed in an accessible place. You might be asking "why only 4 stars rather than 5? Well the reason for this is this power supply causes electrical "noise" on the AC line. I use an X-10 home automation system and have used this system for well over 35 years. This system, like many other home automation systems transmit "commands" over the house's/trailers neutral line. The moment this power supply was plugged in everything that was on the same 110volt leg could no longer be controlled. In the USA we have "split phase" in residential electrical systems. Two 110 volt lines and a neutral. Whatever side of the 110 volt leg this power supply is plugged into, it will create this electrical noise. This isn't something you can hear but it can cause interference on the electrical lines and disrupt communications. Also in certain frequency ranges it can also cause interference on two-way radio and also AM broadcast radio so be warned. There's a way to dramatically help with this problem or even eliminate it. X-10 makes plug in filters that allows you to plug in the power supply or anything else that causes noise (like a PC, etc.) to suppress and absorb this noise from the item. It's nothing more than a module that plugs into the electrical outlet and then plug in the power supply into the filter. This has helped a lot in many applications that I've ran into int the past.

Check the amperage for the radio that you want to run
Hey good quality product I was actually as advertised especially like the ability to flip down a cover over my exposed boats once it's wired at it's just like the manufacturer knew it was going to the US and made sure it was right ready to ride out of the box

Great Quality and a Solid Meanwell Alternative!
This ALITOVE power supply works perfectly and is a much more affordable option compared to Meanwell. The build quality is solid, and this brand has lasted me a long time outdoors inside a weatherproof box. I bought a new one only because the old unit finally went bad after years of use. Reliable, strong output, and definitely worth. Easy to install and there is no noise to hear. The voltage can be easily adjusted and it comes set at 12V.
