Good connector
I am building a battery box for my trolling motor and I needed a good connector. This works absolutely perfectly and is high quality. The wires seem like they are heavy gauge a true 8 gauge because my previous wires were getting hot however this resolve that problem.Very easy to install and the connector has a handle to remove easily. You can screw it into a box or any piece of wood. It appears to be waterproof and should last for years.

Nice waterproof plug. The plug locks in place so the plug won't fall out.
Nice heavy duty plug kit. The wires are heavy 8 gauge copper wires. The 'cap' that you open up to insert the plug has a little lock on it that keeps the plug securely attached until you lift the cap to release the plug. These plugs are useful for other things other than trolling motors. I have a 200ah lithium battery in my truck camper that is difficult to access when I want to charge it. I ran wires from my battery to the outside of my camper where I installed this waterproof receptacle. When its time to charge me battery I simply hook my battery charger to this plug and plug it into the receptacle on the side of the camper. I can easily recharge my battery from outside my camper. Works great!

The plug is fine but the wiring seems to be a bit small
For short wiring, a 6 AWG wire should adequately handle a 50A load in a 12V system. The wires connected to this plug were in the range of 7 to 8 AWGs (refer to the picture). The strands are extremely small and numerous, combining into one. There is a variation in its appearance compared to the illustration on the website photo (see picture). Nevertheless, the plug itself appears to be of good quality, enhanced by a small locking mechanism that secures the male plug in place, contributing to its overall reliability.

Really good with a couple of minor flaws...
I'm installing an electric trolling motor on the bow of my boat. I needed a clean, convenient way to get power from my battery below deck up to the trolling motor. I ordered this HKAIMING trolling motor plug and, overall, I'm very pleased. The female receptacle is low profile and has a spring loaded cover to keep out dirt and water. Further, it has a small tab in the cover that fits into a slot on the male receptacle to make a simple, secure connection (see pics). The wire leads are 10” and 9” respectively which leads (no pun intended) to my few complaints. The insulation feels exceptionally soft and I have concerns regarding longevity. I plan to cover all the HKAIMING wiring in shrink wrap as an extra precaution. The wiring itself is a multi-strand relatively fine wire (see pics). The combination of the soft insulation and multi-strand wire makes the wire very supple, however, I would have preferred less strands of heavier copper wire. I took the added precaution of soldering the tips of the wire together (see pic) before inserting the wire into the butt connectors. The cost seems a touch expensive, however, it is admittedly in line with similar products. But for the insulation and wire quality, I would have given this product five stars.

Not just trolling!
I needed a firm connector for the RV macerator and went with this trolling motor plug. It is a heavy 8 gauge tinned copper wire with what appears to feel like a thick, soft silicone insulator. Overall quality appears to be very good.

Fits and works as should.
This trolling motor wire/plug looks to be very good quality. Wires are very thick and the plugs hold together really tight with a latching cover to keep them from coming apart. Actually better than the harness that came on my Sea Hunt boat.
