Great adult/child toy. Kids are drawn to things that are interactive, brightly colored, move fast and make noise. This fills the bill! Start playing with it in the yard and every kid in the house (or neighborhood) will be there in seconds.Although the description presents this as a child's toy, it is actually an adult toy to share with a child. Inserting and removing the battery requires a small screwdriver to manage a tiny screw and the battery is a tight fit in the battery compartment. Also the controller can be hard for young hands to manage because the acceleration and steering are so responsive.The run time per charge is advertised as "up to 25 minutes". Every kid I know wants to go mostly flat out - then the battery lasts more like 10 minutes.. It takes a lot longer than that for most kids to be done playing with something so entertaining. It would be nice to have two or three extra battery packs to get 20 or 30 minutes play time. I'm surprised Amazon does not offer them as an option.This would be fun at the beach or in other challenging places. Or try to build an obstacle course in the yard with whatever is at hand. Finally a caution - the truck is just as much fun in water, right-side up or upside down. Just don't run down the battery where a boat is needed to retrieve it. Oops.Definitely worth $40.

The truck came well packaged in a brown box.The truck is bigger than I expected. In addition to be a off-road truck, it is water proof and therefore I can bring it to the beach or lake side and have fun driving into water! It is true that there is no motor to turn the direction of the wheels. One has to spin the wheels at different speed to turn the direction. But who cares! It is fun to drive the truck all over the terrain!Update: After a few weeks of driving, the truck became my favorite rc car:1. The off-road capability of this truck is amazing. I can drive it in high grass or rocky terrain with confidence. My other rc cars often got stuck in the grasses or got bogged down in the mud.2. The ability to drive in water is especially useful in a terrain where puddle or river intertwine with the dry land. This truck simply conquers my back yard or the state parks!3. The truck is sealed very well against water. That means I can drive it during pouring rain! This is especially important considering that I simply cannot play other rc cars, trucks or drones outdoor. This truck is the only toy I can play outdoor in the rain!

My son loves his new RC car and the best part about it is it can navigate the lake sized puddles in our backyard with ease. Wish the battery lasted a bit longer, it's spent after one play session, but it's a great car so far!

Its an ok rc truck with a really good gimmick. That water resistance makes this worth the current $39.98 price. The control is a little funky but still usable. Not an overachieving aesthetic. Still a truck with no flashy lights. It feels rugged enough for your kids playtime. I love that it can be driven into puddles without fear of it getting damaged. My 3 year old has spent many hours with this outside and always gets sad when it’s time for charging it up again and he has to take a break playing with it. It doesn’t need to be charged super often, you can play with it constantly for a few hours before needing to charge it. It does take a while to get back fully charged though. Overall this is a nice toy truck and goes pretty fast! It’s been crashed into anything everything and doesn’t have damage to it and still works great. This is a good one here.
