Lathe Turning Tools,VerRich SPB26-3 26mm Parting Grooving Cut-Off Tool with 10pcs GTN-3 SP300 Insert for Steel Semi-finishing

Used it twice, once per end. Tried with aluminium and it plugged horribly. In steel it bent the bottom of the cutter support, both ends are now bent a d useless.Also invested a lot of time to make a holder for this tool, couldn't find a parting tool holder to hold this as it is taller the holders I have can manage.Should have known better. U get what u pay for!

I was shocked at the quality of this product! I needed a parting tool in a hurry, so I took a chance on this one. It fit my Iscar holder perfectly, I made 6 cuts on 1” steel round. I only used 1 bit. Very impressive!

This tool worked great on the first few cuts. Then I cut a part where the cutting forces caused the tool to bend downwards under the insert causing a permanent deformation and causing the insert not to be properly located. The bar seems to be made of ordinary carbon steel and it bends easily. It should have been made from a hardened, stronger steel and the problem would probably never occur.

Using this in an unconventional manner by locking in a vise to cut short round stock while turning with a Bridgeport vertical mill.
