Portable, light, good stability
I wanted a light and portable parasol stand to use with my garden table, which has a hole to accept parasols. I already have one of this heavy bases for my rotary washing line but it is a pain to move this. The item works very well and is stable. It is deployed by just unfolding the feet and they click into place. I would say it’s best used for purposes like mine i.e. a picnic table with a hole already incorporated as used by itself it probably won’t take any gusts of wind. Cons: the feet are long to give it stability so it sticks out from under my garden table. And it sometimes gets in the way of feet under the table. But these are minor grievances in my book.

Lifetime Review
Great product but very frustrating to find weights that fit and none are recommended that are compatible with the products on amazon. I ended up buying paving slabs from B&Q. Product itself if great for use on a temporary basis i would say as after one year of use i found the product to be rusting and falling apart so weather protection is poor. Also i found it hard to get it to keep the umbrella stable and vertical and often was leaning no matter how you position weights. It also blew over a few times in the wind even with heavy amount of weight on it up to 40KG. As a shot term use it will be fine.

Very versatile and good value
I bought this as I had a new garden parasol but my existing stand was too small in diameter for the pole of the new parasol. This option offers versatility as it adapts to different diameter poles and is pretty sturdy once it's set up. It is probably best used for a parasol that goes through a table, rather than free standing, but even so, for the price and the versatility it's an excellent piece of kit. It's not too heavy to fold up and take on holiday but perfectly suitable for a garden as well.

Nice idea, poorly constructed.
This device has the right idea, having a wide spread of its legs, and with the use of weights, will support a parasol reasonably well. There are no instructions. The four slip pins that hold the device in the folded state are very poorly thought out. They were clearly cheap rudimentary stopper slip pins inserted through each leg locking them to the frame. Unfortunately, some bright spark decided to saw the ends off with a blunt junior hacksaw or similar, leaving huge burrs on the end. This means that without filing the burrs off, the device cannot be unfolded and so cannot be used. Cheap cotter pins would have done the job, which is what I shall be replacing the slip pins with.

Much sturdier than expected
This holds a large heavy parasol which I thought might be too big. It does need weighting down but once we did so, the parasol stayed up easily - even with quite a string wind. Very pleased. Easy to fold up and put away.

Badly made and extremely flimsy
This item is supposed to be a parasol stand but I doubt it could cope with much more than drinking straws or tooth picks. Not only is it so light it cannot support an open umbrella, but the folding mechanism is of such poor quality two of the four feet detached after the first use. They're held on with metal pins with flattened ends which simply fall out of their holes. Further to this the stand started to rust after one night on the patio. The strange this is it's designed to accommodate the larger 48mm poles for cantilever parasols. However there is no way in a million years it could cope with the weight. So the old adage stands; you get what you pay for.

Sturdiness was priority... then being able to pack away
Love the fact it’s very sturdy and well balanced. Can be further weighted down with slab/squares if needed...but packs away lightly and in small package... so no need to be left out through rain/winter months like perhaps the more solid / sand weighted bases do...Used it 3 times now.... in sun... in sun with a slight draft !! And then sun with a bit of added wind..!! And it’s not budged once.. love it 👍

Requires additional items for stability?
Slightly misled by the advertising, but obvious now I have one - in my opinion, this base really needs extra support. Probably fine used under a table as mentioned by other reviewers. On the box it came in, it shows the base used with two 40cm square paving slabs laid between the struts. I am sure that this is how it is intended to be used, and I expect that four would be best, if used freestanding. I shall update this review once I have obtained them and been able to test it properly.
