Summary: This is a well made and always on staple of my bass pedal board. A board that is full of pedals costing multiple times the cost of this Donner. This is an easy one to recommend to any guitarist or bassist. Build Quality: This little guy is a brick. It’s very sturdy and reliable. I leave my pedal board plugged in and set up most of the time it’s at home and have accidentally left this pedal on for days at a time multiple times. Still after many months it’s still working perfectly with absolutely no popping when activating or unwanted noises at any time. This is my third pedal in the Seeker series and to be honest they’re a sort of hidden gem of the pedal world. These are every bit as good as something from TC, EHX, Boss, et cetra. They just happen to be much cheaper and in an interesting form factor. Sound Quality: Is excellent. This pedal has no voice of it’s own which is exactly what you want. I use mine to replace the tone stack in my Rumble 500 head and it does a great job. Being able to boost 250hz for punch, 500hz for cut, and 1khz for attack is quite nice, especially because I can do so without boosting below 60hz. Honestly it’s kind of like the pedal isn’t there at all it just functions so naturally at the end of my pedal chain. I haven’t used it for guitar but if it can perform well on bass then I have no doubts it would work well for guitar. Design: I want to start by saying I like that Donner tried something different with the form factor. I also really like the birds flying near the logo design. The only issue I have is that because all the jacks are on top of it and it’s like a regular pedal turned sideways it can be difficult to find a good place in the pedal chain for Seeker pedals. The EQ is greatly helped in my case because I want it at the end of my chain and because of the way the sliders work. It’s very easy to remember what does what so I can adjust it fairly easily on the fly. However if someone wanted to place this is the middle of their board, depending on their other effects that could be a challenge. Pedal board building is just expensive lego-tetris though and it is part of the fun it’s something to consider.
