It can expand drastically between 50 to 100 times its weight in water!
☆important to know☆ Always drink adequate amounts of water if consuming this jelly. And/Or water down the jelly till its very thin and can't expand anymore. The jelly, if still able to expand can expand in places its not supposed to like your esophagus. Take in small amounts and monitor your stomach and how you feel. I advise avoid eating it before bed. I have noticed it does in fact sit on your stomach and digests slowly and keeps you fuller longer. It is very effective at quieting your stomach. I make mine with fruit I puré. And use monkfruit sweetener since it doesnt mess with your blood sugar. I have even mixed it with hot chocolate powder and it tastes and feels exact like chocolate pudding! Here is how i make mine if you dont know how. 1. Measure out 1 teaspoon of konjac root powder. 2. Mix it with the sweetener of your choice. And the amount to your taste. (Remember you can always add more but once its in there you can't take it out) 3. I use lemon or lime juice. You need to use this so the powder doesnt clump in the water. I dont have an exaxt measurement, so ill leave it up to preferences. There are other alternatives you can use to have the same effect. (No I haven't noticed the taste of the juice in the jelly) 4. Start to add water and mix mix mix. 5. You keep adding water till you get the consistency you want after its been well mixed in. (Have clumps?) 6.(optional) Put the mixture in a blender and do a few pulses to break up the clumps. 7. Once mixed throughly its time to heat it up on the stove. Google directed me to heat it up for 3 to 5 minutes. You will have to keep an eye on it and mix it while its heating to avoid it burning. This is what will allow it to have a jelly texture when it cools. 8.(optional but recommended) add in the fruit of your choice. You can blend or put fruit in how you want. Helps add flavor and natural sweetness. 9. Put in container and let rest in the fridge for 12 - 24 hours. 10. Enjoy!

Good quality, thickens well, no smell or texture issues
This is a very good quality glucomanan powder. I have used several brands, and this is the best I've used. I can use a little less of this and get the same results of others. It thickens well, and I have noticed no smell or flavor. I'll be buying this brand again.

Holds things together
I bought to experiment with for improved texture in one of my whole food plant-based recipes. My lentil roast was too mushy and crumbled when I sliced it. Very happy with the results. Gives the roast a more chewy mouth feel and glues things together.

I used the product as a thickening agent for gravy
As far as I can tell, Glucomannan powder has no dicernable taste. So I honestly could not provide a rating on "flavor". I used it today for the first time to thicken sausage gravy and it worked extremely well. I used 1 1/2 teaspoons to thicken 2 cps of heavy cream. Be careful that you do not use too much. I first added it while wisking into my cold cream - and then poured that mixture into my pan with the cooked sausage. As it warmed, it thickened up very quickly. It seems to be a very good product for those who, like myself are following a low carb lifestyle. I usually use xanthan gum but wanted to try this ingredient out as a thickening agent. I feel this is more powerful than xanthan gum and thickens liquid very well- it also did not cause any digestive issues for me. It's a great product - I just feel it's very expensive for the amount you get.

Purchaser for years
Great Product! Not only does this add good fiber to your diet but it is a great thickener! Whenever my oatmeal comes out a little runny I just add 1/4 tsp of this Glucomannan Powder just after turning off the burner and mix in thoroughly and it thickens perfectly :) or add 1/4 to 1/2 tsp to yogurt or when whipping fresh heavy cream but like to add little vanilla and other flavoring -> add this too and comes out perfect every time. Like why didn't I know this years ago?

I love that there is no flavor. Powder turns into gelatin really fast when mixed with water.
