This a book foe beginners level. However some simple advices in the text pages are even applicable for advanced players. That means if you follow and use this book, it is one of the fastest way to study of playing shakuhachi. For example paying mouth cavity and try to hold the air-pipe being rounded and expanded is actually very advanced skill but also you can do it. When inhaling deep breath is important and do not force the exhaling breath (later, we will do so as advanced skill but not at first time as starter). Incomplete printing with last part missing
This printing is not the whole section 1 as described on the contents page. It stops at page 53 and so does not include 'Five Sankyoku pieces page 54' and 'List of principle sankyoku page 62'. The ISBN description is 68 pages.

Don't get the Kindle version!
The Kindle version of this book arrived as a scan or image type file. As a result I can't increase the type size or change the font. So it is almost impossible for me to read on my phone. As a result, I can't comment on the quality of the book itself.

Manual perfecto para la iniciación al Shakuhachi
Este manual de iniciación al shakuhachi es ideal para aquellas personas que se quieran iniciar al shakuhachi. Desde la parte teórica de cómo efectuar el sonido en el shakuhachi, aunque lo más importante es verlo y estudiarlo in situ frente a un profesor. En la última parte se empieza con la introducción a leer el estilo de Kinko Ryu, con canciones tradicionales para empezar a desarrollar el ritmo, los cambios de octava, las posiciones de cabeza "kari" que significa cabeza arriba, "meri" posición con de cabeza abajo, para tocar los semitonos en el shakuhachi. En resumidas cuentas, un muy buen manual de iniciación al shakuhachi.

Qualité d'impression médiocre, mais plus important, le texte utilisé des termes techniques qui ne sont expliqués nulle part. Un index serait vraiment utile.

Excellent guidance
This is a wonderful method book. The author goes into detail about the spiritual underpinning of playing the instrument, technical points about how to blow, and how to read Japanese notation. There are beautiful exercises and songs to play along. If you contact the author separately, he will provide, promptly and inexpensively, a CD of himself playing the songs. He also offers private lessons via Zoom. I have just had my first. He is a first-rate teacher!

Gutes Lehrmaterial mit einem Schönheitsfehler
Gleich am Anfang wird auf eine CD hingewiesen, zu der aber weder der Titel, eine Bestellnummer bzw. eine Bezugsquelle genannt werden. Das hätte man besser, sprich kundenfreundlicher machen können.
