ChordC-Lite Digital Optical Audio Cable (2m)

I haven't written an Amazon review in over 3 years... but I felt that this product deserved one.I was using a generic £8 optical cable to connect my PC to my DAC and I felt that there was a lot missing. I tried a few things (including a £450 Audiolab streamer) to improve the sound and was left wanting.I thought I'd try a better optical cable and as soon as I plugged it in... WOW :)Everything improved: better timing, better soundstage, way more detail and all of the harshness in the top treble gone. I do have the system to hear this difference though.Is it worth £50? To me it's a no-brainer. I can't believe the difference a better optical cable makes.£50 of the best pounds I've spent on audio. Highly recommended over generic £8 crap.

Can't believe all the positive reviews on these. I thought they would be an upgrade to my amazon basics optical cable. I was wrong. I bought these because in the description it specifically said the ends of the optical cable had been slightly polished. They were not. The optic material was protruding out of both ends of the cable at an uneven angle and was not flush. Clearly just been badly cut and not polished at all. Also it did not securely click into position.The amazon basics cable on the other hand for a fraction of the price did click into position securely and the ends were very flush and looked clear like it had been polished. Needless to say I returned this cable and stuck with the basics one which appeared to be better quality at an insanely low price and if im being completely honest is probably all you will ever need since its transmitting a digital signal so there will be no improvement to sound quality from paying more for an expensive cable like this.

What can I say, Chord deliver once again through their high quality cables.Listening to Qobuz in 24-bit 192 kHz and it sounds godly.Buy this.

A good quality optical cable from a known brand. I can’t say I’ve recognised a significant increase in the sound quality over the lower priced cable. But I still feel it was a worthwhile investment for my system.

en remplacement d'un cable complètement décati, malgré un achat dit "audiophile". j'adore la marque chord, et une fois de plus, de la très bonne qualité: le cable se connecte parfaitement, et la liaison audio est très bonne. dans mon système naim.linn, aucune perte de qualité ni de rajout, ni de mise en avant dans toute la gamme de fréquences.
