Hi Paula, You do not need to build a line to connect the grill. It comes with a rotation speed controller, which connects the power line to the grill (110 Volts to 12 Volts). The motor is in the back of the grill, attached to the gears. Sorry, but I do not have a picture for the actual motor, but it does go inside the cover on the back.
